Which book as a movie should Darren Aronofsky direct

I dont know about you... but I love Requim for a Dream and Pi. I was a little disappointed by the Fountain, however I still think Darren Aronofsky is one of the best new directors out there. I think that Darren directing a movie version of one of Chuck's books would be amazing. The question is which one?

I think he would do well directing Invisible Monsters.

The Strange

I'm always looking for interesting new music. I have a very short attention span and I tend to get bored with things rather quickly. I was hoping that some of you could recommend a few bands that don't sound like anything else. Does anyone here like weird music? What are a few of the weirdest bands you've heard?

P.S. I'm up to my eyeballs in experimental music so if it wouldn't give Stephen Stapleton a boner I'm probably not interested in that.

Here are a few bands that I think are interesting:

geza x
picky picnic
the science group
california dolls
they might be giants
the polysics
little fyodor
ex-girl
secret chiefs 3
estradasphere
deerhoof
gong
bob drake
bonzo dog band
frank sidebottom
we are the arm
ghengis tron
modified toy orchestra
the residents
sexton ming
dan deacon
nurse with wound
melt banana

Throwaway: My official petition to get it online!

I just watched THROWAWAY, a short "horror" film that Dennis (yes, our Dennis) wrote, directed and produced along with filmmaker and friend, Brian Fitzpatrick.

New Metallica!

"The Day that Never Comes," first single off the new album Death Magnetic, is up on Metallica.com. Thoughts?

Personally, I like it a lot. Nice mix of riffs that range in style. Certainly an improvement. Nice to see Kirk soloing again. Nice to hear some fast, thrashy riffing. Nice to see that they can still crank out long, dynamic songs that don't get boring. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the album.
