Invisible Monsters

it was my turn to pick. i was very sick of the chick lit that had been brought in the months' previously. thought i'd shake it up a bit with my favourite palahniuk - invisible monsters. lo and behold, almost everyone loved it! we're meeting on friday to discuss, and i'd love some help from you guys on talking points. definitely want to bring in the whole 'if i can't be beautiful, i want to be invisible' thing but after that, i'm at a loss.

i'm looking for really smart stuff, which i am evidently incapable of coming up for myself. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am new here and I just want anyone to please just slap me or something. I have ready nearly every book from Chuck and he is a great writer!

With that said I felt that the ending was a little pushed, I like the fact that she shot herself and I like the fact that like she wanted to be ugly to start over and all that mumbo jumbo, but like the breast implant thing and the book saving brandy, like it all felt really really forced plot wise for me. Like for me I felt like he built up the plot in 230 pages to just cram a mediocre ending in there with a mediocre twist. Like I said, I really don't know.

I feel like he could have made it some what better...

Like I said someone slap me or tell me wrong I just want to hear what everyone has to say!

Did anyone else find this chapter to be the funniest single chapter of chuck's books? I was laughing uncontrollably while reading it, and even my girlfriend (who absolutley hates Chuck) laughed her ass off when I had her read that chapter.

 I'm really interested to see some kinda artistic reintepretation of this book. and it's not on this site anymore. So if anyone knows where i can find it, lemme know!

Wow.  $4 million dollars of plastic surgery.

So, I read INVISIBLE MONSTERS back in November and finished it rather quickly. It wasnt my favourite for the story, but the imagery was superb. I still am unable to stop thinking about how "Daisy"s face would look. This all being said, I enjoy researching lobotomies flipping to random pages of Greys Anatomy and drawing what I see, specifically the skeletal systems, and fetuses.
