Question

Does any one know why Chuck Palahniuk always mentions some location in Montana in all of his books. I'm from Montana and I've always wondered about this.

Book Sales

Is there anyway to get book sales numbers on CP's books? He has so many great ones, I'm curious to see the $$ comparisons to how I rank them. This data seems to be pretty difficult to find online, so I thought I would ask the true experts :)

Insomnia (if you lived here you'd be home already) question

Anyone have any sort of idea as to what this book is about?

It's probably a dumb question, but I really cannot find any information elsewhere online.

indie novels

I received a email forwarded from a friend of a friend of a friend who published a graphic novel. Now i was a little hesitant to purchase since it was not main stream but after reading a little bit of the novel thru a online sneak peak and a way cool animation the guy created I decided to buy it. Now i have to say the art was different...it was not your standard marvel and dc but it worked, i really dug the art. It was kinda cartoony but i kind of got why he went for that look, it kinda buffered the impact of all the crazy things that happened in the book. The story was about this family that for the most part has been reborn thru out time to same mankind from this secret race that is bent on killing us.

Easiest book to read in english?

Hi, my first post here. The topic titles says pretty much everything.
I've read Survivor in Finnish and i'm going to read Choke in Finnish too soon. But there arent other Chuck books translated to Finnish (Only Choke, Survivor and Fight club, but fight club isnt in my local library so...).
And i'm now looking for a Chuck book in English which is quite easily understandable for a person who isnt a native english speaker.
I understand english pretty good but there are apparently word-plays and such in Chuck's books so I have no idea if I will understand them.

Thanks in advance.

Chuck in Foreign Languages

I have a huge number of Hebrew-reading friends--which only makes sense, since I live in Israel--who would like to know if and/or when any of the books will be translated into Hebrew. Also, Russian and Spanish would help. Thanks--Suzy

Looking for one of Palahniuk's short stories

It could have possibly just been a simple quote as well. It was about how Palahniuk went to some crappy diner and ordered the chicken, but the food was so bad he couldn't eat it so he asked for his money back. The diner refused his refund so he started throwing chicken around the restaurant while yelling something along the lines of "You can suck this shit out of my ass!" There may have been something about a scuffle with a fry cook, but that part I could just be making up.

I'm almost positive I read this story or quote here on The Cult back in 2000.

If anyone knows what I am talking about and where to read it please let me know, thanks!
