Albert Camus
You ought to be shot if you think there's anything new that can be said about Camus. A ton of writers (some listed here, many elsewhere) sight his short book The Stranger as either their favorite work, or one of their biggest influences. I'm French and, in France, Albert Camus is considered as the greatest author of all times. I'm a big fan of Caligula and L'Etranger, which is his best book and has been recognized as the best book of 19th Century.
