Chuck turned 46 today.
Check out the below article about a real life choking game, turned deadly. Props to Sean Anderson for this one:
THURSDAY, Feb. 14 (HealthDay News) -- At least 82 youths have died from playing the "choking game" since 1995, a new government report shows.
Stephen King was once asked, "Who's the scariest guy in America?"
His response? "Probably Jack Ketchum." King added "no writer who has read him can help being influenced by him, and no general reader who runs across his work can easily forget him."
Our slew of 2008 interviews continues today.
"Learning to Trust the Tale and Question the Artist": An interview with Jack Ketchum by Joshua Jabcuga
Joshua Jabcuga is a longtime friend and supporter of The Cult. He was also one of the first people online to ever review our Chuck Palahniuk documentary. He's part of a fresh crop of exciting journalists who has tossed his hat into the ring to join our movement to transform The Cult into more than just an official fan site. So expect a ton of great work from him this year spreading the gamut from authors to actors to music to comics.
Mark Raffensperger has conducted a very cool audio interview with Chuck Palahniuk and Choke director Clark Gregg over at his site Zoom in Online.
This interviewed was recorded during the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and is the only piece I know of so far that features both Chuck and Clark together.
I've voted in the past three presidential elections, but never before on Super Tuesday. All of that changed this year. This is one of the most exciting and important elections in recent history. And I'm not talking about the Republicans. I'm talking about Obama vs. Hillary. If you live in a state that's having it's primaries today, please go out and vote!
I'm a California resident now, so here's the info you'll need: http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/elections_ppl.htm
