For those that don't know, here is summary of "Pygmy", right from Chuck:

I've just finished the first draft of a novel called "Pygmy," a dark comedy about terrorism and racism. The lead character is a 13-year-old foreign exchange student sent to live with a suburban, white, middle-class family. Oh, and they're Christians. The visit is for six months, and he's one of a dozen similar kids, all shipped to America to live with typical families.

The secret truth is that Pygmy is a terrorist, trained since infancy in martial arts, chemistry and radical hatred of the United States. He has six months to build a prize-winning project for the National Science Fair. If he succeeds, he and his project will go to Washington, D.C. for the finals competition -- where the project will explode, killing millions.

So far, Gerry Howard says it's the best book I've done. Fingers crossed for luck.

it looks like they were going more with the militant fanaticism theme of the book.

Don't get me wrong - I like the cover as a piece of pop art...I get that. But it looks like the cover of something called Mao III

well, i thought the cover of snuff was stupid when i first saw the jpeg and that cover turned out perfect

and besides, it's not the cover, it's how much the writing entertains.

i dont think the character pygmy is meant to literally be a member of the pygmy people. i mean, what do pygmies have against america?

I think Snuff will be out in paperback around the time this is released?
didn't Rant come out in PB same time as Snuff?

personally i think that's a horrible business model. If he's gonna come out with a new book every year, then the PB for the last one should come out about 6 months before. So you've constantly got new release table coverage at the store. or at least every time someone comes in the see his name there. Just look what it did for James Patterson.

Pygmy is the kid's name. Not WHAT he is.
The paperback Snuff comes out April 14th. Or you can join the Doubleday Book Club and get it in paperback on November 17th.
I'm thinking that Pygmy will be just as bad as or worse than Snuff.
