DAMNED Is Here!!!

Today is the day, folks!  The day you've all been patiently waiting for since we announced the release date almost a year ago.  DAMNED is now out!  Fans are calling this one of Chuck's best novels in a long time.  Plus, it's part 1 of a trilogy!  What's important is that it's in bookstores right now, and you all need to get off your butts and go get a copy!

As always, we expect pictures and accounts of your trips to the bookstore, and anything interesting that should happen while there.

If you're partial to ordering your books online, we have links for Amazon, Barnes and Noble and IndieBound here.

Happy reading!

Found the book easily enjoyable. Only three chapters in. It's not really voiced by a thirteen year old, definitely Palahniuk, however, the perception of 21st century life that comes through in the first few chapters was very intriguing. per me.

Did I mention I bought this about a month ago, maybe more. It's been out in Australia for a while, it seems. Which is weird. We normally get shit late. Confused the hell out of me. Haven't read it yet though. Can't say the first few paragraphs excited me all that much. I think I'm going to give my copy to a 12-year-old friend of the family for her 13th birthday this weekend.

Matt, read it first. You don't want her first(?) encounter with Palahniuk to be through hills of finger clippings and toe scurf, and lakes (or seas, I might be wrong) of semen.

I Enjoyed it quite a bit. Reminds me of his older stuff.

You like everything Palahniuk does though, Noah. He could shit in an empty book and release it and you'd cry brilliance. As would a billion other people. He's really taking his gross-out, on-the-body writing to the next level, they'll say. He's a genius. He's saying something about such and such and this and that and blah, blah.

You're right, though, Irina. I should read it first. But, honestly, I can't bring myself to do it when there's so many other amazing books crying for my attention, ones that you and Berto have either given me or recommended me, among others. I read the first page and didn't have one single urge to turn it and see what was on the next one.

Perhaps I should just buy her a good book instead. Maybe Invisible Monsters.

I died from an overdose too but mine was with mezcaline (peyote) my uncle made me chew 10 heads of the cactus when i was 10 years old . Then i went to hell and met Mictecacíhuatl the mother of all deads, she told me that everything that we saw soon will disrepair then she resurrected me with psylocibine (Magic Mushrooms from Toluca) to post this here.

I'm about halfway through...In my opinion, the story's campy but I'm liking his writing style--very reminiscent of his earlier work.
