Wrong Bronte?

In the book, Chuck seems to constantly provide parallels between Jane Eyre and Emily Bronte, when in fact Charlotte Bronte was its author.

Was this intentional? And why? I find it hard to believe that someone as thorough as Chuck P. (as well as his editors) could make such an error.

Sorry if this has been brought up before- I tried doing a forum search, and nothing seemed to come up.
