Palahniuk books seem to adapt to film really well, so I'm still looking forward to Invisible Monsters getting the movie treatment.

I loved invisible monsters, I, being a 23 year old male with 3 brothers and a dad and no women growing up, was completely lost as far as the make up, fashion magazine, female hormones thing, but I feel the road tripping and pill popping, so it was all good. Anyway, I was thinking how you glossed over the whole her missing half a face, you think they will just cover her face with that veil the whole time? I haven't read the book in awhile, but I believe that's something that's discussed fairly early on. Also, on a personal note, I would love to go see it in theatres before word gets out how it ends so I can just see how all these drunk rednecks out here react to the ending (I expect not positively). Anyone else live in the deep south think it may make it to their overly Christian town and that it may not fly as well down here? We may have to wait for DVD

I don't get why people are saying Evie has to be ugly. The woman is supposedly a successful model, a size nine but still successful. I would say we should go with Megan Hilty. Ivy Lynn on Smash, former glinda in wicked, and Doralee in 9 to 5 the musical

Two words for the role of Manus: MICHAEL FASSBENDER

Also, I think the scene at Brumbach's Department Store should be the opening scene of the movie. It's one of my favorite scenes: it's dramatic and suspenseful. It would also temporarily fool the audience by making people think Shannon and Evie are not acting. The scene is also what all the reality shows do:it's acting that's pretending to be real, of course with elements of truth.
By the way, I wish there was more steady news about this film adaptation. There should be a little promotion or something that create buzz.
