Haunted poster I made.
I took the pic off the website and added the letters.
Its not anything special, took me bout 4 min to make. I don't know how this movie will go through though...
This is my favorite book by Chuck, I really hope the adaptation goes well, otherwise I'm going to be really dissappointed
It isn't just the past we remember, it's the future too. Fifty per cent of memory is devoted not to what has already happened, but to what will happen next. Appointments, anniversaries, meetings, all the rolling engagements and plans, all the hopes and dreams and ambitions which make up any human life - we remember what we did and also what we will do. Only the knife edge of the present is 'hard' to any degree. Past and future are things of the mind, and a mind can be changed.
as a mini-series it's at least got a chance.
as a movie, forgetaboutit.
I finished reading it a second time.
I just can't see it being a movie. It's going to get fucked to pieces by the MPAA.
Remove your brain. Place it in the machine. Perpetuate the American Dream.
Good idea, but it's a full-fledged spoiler.
How is that a spoiler?

Yeah, maybe if they just made each short story into a short film and relased them on a compliation DVD that'd be fine

i think the movie should be made and released independently so that they won't be as handicapped as they would be. It will just need a lot of outside money to produce it correctly, but if they get the right cast and staff it could turn out great.

well done with the poster. The movie is possible. As long as they don't skimp on details, and of course, the opening scene should be Guts.
This is my favorite book from Chuck as well. But I agree that turning this into a movie isn't the smartest decision. It should be a series like LOST where you'd have stuff from the main narrative, and then stuff from one of the short stories for each episode, kind of like what LOST does with its flashbacks.
Great poster BTW. But I think I'm gonna be disappointed with the movie.
If I had a tumor, I'd name it Marla.
Haha.
I haven't read Haunted before; is it actually like... haunting?
I try to avoid scary books, but I still want to read most if not all Chuck's stuff, LOL.

i totally agree; not because i wouldn't love to see Haunted as a movie, but yeah, it would be totally raped, and wouldnt get the justice it deserves.
i love Lost, and i think it would be a good idea to incorporate the characters backstories like that of the flashbacks. though, cool as the idea is, it would still be watered down and forced to not include any of the juicy, best parts of the book.
in american cinema, this book cant win.
Yes on a series, no on a movie.
Haha.

whether a movie or a mini series haunted is gonna be fucked.
To me, Haunted is a lot like Lost, at the beginning there is a lot of promise and I really had high hopes for it, but as it progressed the story as a whole just didn't fit with me. I liked the individual stories (like every character in Lost had their own backstory) but the main narrative grew tedious and I only kept reading to get to the end.
Perhaps a mini series focusing on characters backstory in the vein of a much darker Lost could work, but it would need to go on a station like Showtime or HBO, Fox would never air this.
Self improvement comes from trimming away the shit, not building up on top of it.
How about next year's 8 Films to Die For thing get expanded to 13 and everyone make their own film from it and then just lump them all together.
how about a cartoon?
an animated series would be cool

That's a pretty sweet poster; Id' hang one on my bulletin board.
