Movies In Development
Cast for Rant?
I was thinking about who could play as the cast for a Rant movie, and this is what I came up with.
Rant:
Jack White

Echo Lawrence:
Lizzy Caplan (shown left)

Shot Dunyun:
Micheal Massee

Any other ideas?
Invisible Monsters
Has anyone heard of the film adaptation to be made of Invisible Monsters? I don't know much, except that Jessica Biel is supposed to play Shannon/Brandy. Any other info?
Haunted by Koen Mortier
Finally tracked down a copy of Ex-Drummer, Koen Mortier's 2007 flick and a big reason he's been tapped to make Haunted.
Not only is Ex-Drummer brilliantly made, it's probably even more disgusting and disturbing than Haunted. This man was born to make a Chuck P. movie.
Don't you think the films murder the books value?
I was thinking (dangerous i know)... but don't you think turning the novels into movies kills the value the books have?
It bothers me that these great books are being made into shit films... with the exception of Fight Club i guess, because that film got me into Chuck...
But generally, it destroys them, in my oppinion...
Anyone share my views?
Haunted poster I made.
I took the pic off the website and added the letters.
Its not anything special, took me bout 4 min to make. I don't know how this movie will go through though...
So is Rant gonna be a true trilogy or what?
The first time I read that Rant would be made into a movie, the news article (or whatever it was) said that the movie studios wanted to buy the rights, but were waiting on Chuck to finish the trilogy to see the complete work before getting into it.
Now from what I've heard, the movie rights are already bought.
I don't know if the trilogy part came from the misconception about his "trilogies", or if in fact, Rant is gonna be a true trilogy in the sense of a continuous (somewhat) story? When years ago, CP was talking about Diary coming out, he said that it would be part of a horror trilogy, but he meant trilogy in the sense of 'theme', not of story continuity.
So if Rant (the book) is part of a sci-fi trilogy, is it only a theme trilogy, or an actual continuity?
