Testing new SPAM fighting technique - Please Read
Just wanted to let everyone know that I am testing out some new SPAM fighting techniques. As such, it is possible that you may post something and it disappears.
If this happens to you, don't freak out I'll be keeping track of all items the system finds to be SPAM and will approve your post.
Hopefully not.
Ha!

It seems to be working! I tested it with one of those "Penis" posts and the thing just vanished! Now the Cult is going to be civilized once and for all.

Other than starting their own blogs, they seem to target old news items.
Nathaniel Parker and Alecia have advised me that they have been banned from posting in the forum.

IT'S AAAAALLLIIIIIIVE!!!!!!!
It has become self-aware!

Looks like the reason people have been temp banned was because they accidently double posted. Whatever program is being tried out right now seems to be kind of strict. Nate, Alecia and jennyjam had fallen victim.

THEY!

Well, my thoughts have been proven. Everyone here is a spammer!
Actually, the system takes a lot of things into place, duplicate content posts being one of them that seems to have nailed a bunch of people.
So, I scaled them all back a lot so that it should hopefully catch things that are out-right duplicate spam posts but no quotes. This sort of stuff learns over time and I think I just had it's tolerance level set way too low.
Everyone should be unbanned, if not send me a PM.
Also,
If the system tells you it thinks you've posted SPAM, please don't repost the exact same thing that didn't get through. All you're doing is forcing it to ban you.
You people did this to yourselves!

hahahaha

See the post directly above that.
And this wasn't directed at just you
I'm just saying!!!

I quoted two different posts and I think replied to the last instead of quoting it before it locked me out.
Is there anyway to tell how long after registering these spambots are posting?
Maybe have a 20-30 minute freeze on accounts when they first sign up before anything can be posted? It would suck for real new people a small amount, (maybe specify in the TOS they need to read before signing up and in the e mail verification they get to remind them,) and it wouldn't eliminate the spam, they'd be there just laying in wait and then one day an entire army of them would all post at once...on second thought, that's probably a horrible idea, nevermind.
Can we just outright block anyone who mentions the phrase 'Acai Berry' in a post? I don't even care if they're spammers or not.
!
There's another one with a blog right now! get him! Get the Raid! There! In the corner! get it! Smoosh it!
Yeah, and there's one talking about Online Banking Accounts in the American Psycho discussion thread.
!
You know, it's weird. Recently they starting putting in actual details like their age, and giving themselves avatars. Now they're actually pretending to give their opinions on books before the Spam us for Online Banking Accounts.
Did you see that one in the Pygmy T-shirt thread? He was going on about how he didn't really like the colour of the shirts and it was important to know if they were were cotton, because if they were real cotton he would Definately buy one. Then in the middle of it he through in something about how his brother really likes vintage T-shirts. It was surreal.
!
Testicle!

Will this affect our quest to be number one on google for "fapping"?
