How Secure Are Our E-Mail Addresses?
Are mods the only ones that can see your e-mail address? If so how does a user e-mail you? Not PM you, but e-mail you.

Minerva, I went to your profile, and the contact tab isn't there anymore, so I guess you can turn it off so that you're unreachable. Brandon still has his.

Everyone here has already made the correct assumptions. But I'll restate them in bulleted list form, which makes them more official.
- Admins are the only people who can view your email address
- We don't give your email addresses to anyone, though we may send you the occasional newsletter. You can of course opt out of those.
- Members can email you directly, but your email is sent from the website. They never see your email address.
- If you don't want to get emails from members, you can edit your profile and uncheck the "Personal Contact Form" box.
- If you reply to the email they sent you, they will then be able to see your email address, since that info is stored in the email header.
If anyone needs minerva's email address, they can paypal me $10. 
I checked my e mail yesterday for the first time in I don't know how long. I got 2,700 new messages.

Or email policies have never changed. If someone got your email here, they either used the form (which doesn't show your address to them) or someone else posted it. The only exception would be if you share your MSN or Yahoo screen names, since those are email addresses.

I'm usually weary about checking back in any of the threads I make here because I'm afraid I'll get scolded.
There is an actual contact function, I believe. They don't see your e-mail, but they type in the message and the site emails you with the message. That's the impression I got.
