Pygmy and Ninja Assissin (spoilers?)
Anyone see this and read the book? awesome movie, but it seemed to me that they hit quite a few plot points similar to Pygmy, not that it's a bad thing. I doubt they copied Pygmy and it only made the movie better.
Haven't seen it yet, though I am curious as to how it's similar to Pigmy. Also, any movie with the title "ninja assassin" is an instant win.
Is this, like, a real movie, or one of these Japanese movies that was made two years ago and they've got a big name to attach as "Executive Producer!" now so they'll release it in America but it's still in Japanese with subtitles or badly dubbed?
They're kind of sneaky with the trailer so you can't really tell.
No, its all in english and I don't see how it has any connection to pygmy. Heres the thinnest plot I've ever seen. Ninja runs away from ninja clan after years of ninja clan dickbaggery. They come after him, and some journalists who happen to be looking into the ninja clan. Ninjas fight a whole fucking lot, that is the entire movie. Even though they are in Berlin, everyone speaks english the entire time. Lots of really awesome fighting and tons of blood. If you want a plot, look somewhere else.
So, it's exactly like Pygmy! Hay-Oh!
I was pretty sure this movie was gonna be terrible. It looked more like a mix between Batman Begins and 300.

Oh jesus fuck! I was actually wanting to see this movie, but if it shares ANYTHING with that book, so help me AMC, I will be getting a refund! Or a free popcorn!
