Meaning Behind the Cover
Alright, lets first notice the book in boy's hand. This book is titled 'Pygmy'. He joined the army, as displayed by the uniform, because it is insane to join the army and he wants to kill himself. This book drove him to insanity and suicide. Oh, and did I mention it made him tear off his arm so he didn't have to read the book any more?
Yeah, this'll get me bashed. I don't really believe all that, but... I thought of it and it's partly true. Hopefully my opinion on this book will be changed by the end. But seriously, what's up with this? I can only understand about three sentence a page.
the guy on the cover is a young fanatical member of the early chinese communist party and other governments like is (i.e. North Korea) running through the streets screaming praise of Chairman Mao's little red Book and its teachings ripping his own arm off raising it high as possible for everyone to see. The red lettering and style of letters looks to be in the style of either chinese lettering or Russian Cyrilic(corect word???)(spelling???) red representing the communist party. Just some guesses dont know if Im right or if there is a right answer that's just what I get out of the cover.
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; for whoever has shed his blood with me shall be my brother. And those men afraid to go will think themselves lesser men as they hear of how we fought and died together.
He looks like one of those little green army men, only red because they're all dirty commies over there and that's the kind of toys they would give their kids.
His arm has been severed in an unfortunate accident. Lucky for him the hand of the severed arm was holding a book entitled "Upper Extremity Replantation: Basic Principles, Surgical Technique and Strategy" [ISBN: 0443084483].
Unfortunately, the book was in English, and the surgeon could only read Chinese. Thus proving that remarkable dumb luck can be taken only so far.

Pygmy is a raging Hulkamaniac, hence the yellow and red. Also, those bright colors attract buyers at the book store. More to come.
