I loved Pygmy in my opinion Chuck is back. Even though this is not my favorite chuck book I have never felt so emotionally attached to one of his characters. I really cared for what happened to the little Pygster and sympathized his brainwashed views. The broken English was awesome I had no problem reading it, it even made the book three times as funny. My favorite part was that running Colonel Sanders joke. A very romantic and happy ending as well. This will probably rank number four next to Invisible monsters, fight club and survivor.

I am halfway through it and although the writing does not bother me that much, I think it comes off as kind of cartoony and unrealistic.

I mean what 13 year old kids buy vibrators for their moms?

Aha yeah I know what you mean and stuff like that gets even worse.Wait till you find out what cat sisters science project is and how did a kid bring a hookah to school and smoke weed out of it in front of everyone? The story is very outlandish but it also did come from the mind of chuck and gets its point across very entertainingly.

Yeah, I don't hate it I don't love it really. I kinda wish chuck would do more serious stuff.

I haven't read it yet, but from what I read Pygmy's character seems very shallow. First the ides that he would keep a journal in broken English in the first place and then how he views the US as if he was from another planet. Am I wrong?

I deffinitly don't feel connected to Pygmy like I have with past narrators in Chucks book. This is probably due to the writing style. Who knows though maybe towards the end of the book I will like him better.

I found that the dispatches about his past were very important to his character development and the one with the last time he sees his parents is heartbreaking I so connected with it.....not that I was torn away from my parents by a evil totalitarian government. If you got a book from the tour it has stamps that say "Top Secret" and "Property of ministry for truth" so I'm convinced that the messages were intercepted and translated but that's just my view.
