i was confused as well. i think that Magda killed the priest in the baptism pool but the crowd couldnt see because of the flowers and all that so they werent all alarmed. it is so damned hard to read!

you learn in a later chapter what happoned to him..magda was drownding him because she didnt understand the whole baptism thing and thought tony was trying to hurt her..

this book is so confusing. but i am determined! i just know in my heart that chuck has something good planned. it will turn out to be good. right? i didnt like rant when i first started reading it. now its one of my favorites.

we'll see.

anyway. yeah. she ripped his neck out. she like bit it. thats why the water turned red. she used one of those crazy ninja moves.

i still dont get why nowone freaked out though.

She seemingly thought that she was being drowned by 'Devil' or Reverend Tony. She then precided to pull him into the water and attack him, I think she bit him in the throat if i remember properly.
An earlier post said that he was killed, he wasn't.
