choke the movie, for you losers out there
okay. how many members have not seen this movie?
what i mean is, of all the members here who live near a theater screening this movie, how many of you are losers, how many of us havent seen it even once yet?
i mean, i figured by now we can chop openly about it, but then again there are members who have to wait for the dvd and there is likely to be many losers around here who havent gotten around to it yet..
so, i wanted to do an anonymous poll, because that would seem more effectively accurate
but we c a n t do polls anymore
so im just asking right out
going the honest route

i saw it the first weekend. because i'm awesome. and it was like 4 blocks away...
i'm a terrible person, in more ways than one.
Saw it the second night and loved it. Rockwell was great.
Saw it three days before it was released. Twas good.

I saw it the friday it came out.
Looks like Spunck's life is dull and pointless.
I haven't seen it because the closest theatre playing Choke is about an hour and a half away. Since they're not going to a wider release, I'm going to have to wait for the dvd.
I just avoid the threads with spoilers but I have read the book so there shouldn't be anything too shocking anyway.
Good coffee is like drinking Rock and Roll.
well, a few months ago a friend of mine reread choke to prepare for the movie
i didnt. both of us were very impressed with it. jen--my woman--couldnt stop laughing. she generally hates the theater. i somehow got her to view the dark knight with me and she moaned the whole time. this is stupid, was the most common comment. she is not a critical person, except when it comes to movies. the bourbon probably didnt help, i guess. still, she hated the dark knight so i was prepared to shake the shit outta her during the movie choke (i preplanned that you couldnt choke a woman during a movie titled choke), but she fucking loved it. and it was far from her favorite chuck book. she still makes jokes from the movie.

I was...not disappointed, but not pleased. It was exactly as I expected, and no better. Eh.
Oh yeah, and saw it the second day out, that saturday.
"They sold you hippies grunge, hip hop, now liberty activism."
I saw it the first night, took my mom as my date, we both liked it.
I am fueled by filth and fury.
drove an hour to see it with my sister.
It was alright.

Haven't seen it. I work twenty four hours a day, it seems...

WHAT ARE YOU DOING? GET BACK TO WORK!

well, ruth, i dont think youre a loser. but go watch the movie. it's like a prerequisite to being a member here. so that's like eight bucks. plus, you get to see a funny fucking movie.

The truth is, wherever you choose to be..... its always the wrong place.
if i lived in india, id probably spend a lotta time with torrent sites.
but then, im sure india has some pretty remarkable films yearly, right ?

Haven't seen it, ain't jazzed up about it to be honest. It ain't released in Holland yet. And probably won't get a theatrical release.
saw it with the mrs. and we both laughed a lot, cried a bit, got a tad horny, and then left pretty happy overall - really liked it

Hey I JUST got back from an advanced screening of Choke here and I really liked it! I thought it was really funny! The other thing was EEEVERYONE in the cinema watching this movie was really hot, it was a babe magnet, I almost didn't wanna leave. But anyway, it was the best thing I've seen in the cinema for ages. I'm all chipper now.
I don't know if I'm just too late, or what, but I have been looking for this movie for a while now and I don't know why I cannot find a showing in Chuck's home town.
You're way late, dude. It came out in September and vanished from screens soon after.

I saw it the first day it came out and the theater was basically me and 3 friends who read the book plus maybe 5 others.
So in all 7 people went to see it on opening day down here, lol.
Oh well I thought it was worth the $9 I spent to see it, and I love Choke so I wasn't going to miss the movie! (though it's not my favorite book, when Invisible Monsters comes out with a movie you can bet I'll watch that one as many times as possible
)

Opening night fuckers.
It was amazing and i don't think i can wait til 2010 for a dvd release or even an only bluray release.
Reinste Freude ist Schadenfreude.
I thought it was way better than I heard. But I didn't wait for it to come out on DVD to watch it.
