me and my friends wer exploring this abandoned insane asylum in Cedar Brook, NJ and we happened to stumble upon some of the crew from the upcoming movie Choke. They wer filming in the asylum and it was very interesting .we even got to see some of the set!!
oh wow amazing!
The only thing that I'm really worried about with the Choke movie adaptation is that they get the balance right. You know, between porno-ing it and not showing enough. I mean, I understand there's some scenes that there's no way they'll make it in. (Like the airplane sex stuff) But you can't cut out the sex-addict storyline, I mean, that's like half the book. And most of the reason I like the book. (Dirty stupid sex scenes are what chuck does best
) So, as long as they don't cut out too much, it could work. But there's a very fine line on which it would have to run, it's hard to have graphic sex and not get an NC-17 in the US. Other countries seem more upset about violence then they are about nudity/sex, but things are changing, so maybe it's time that a movie in the US treats sex as something besides just porno, and doesn't get pigeon-holed into wierd smut-theaters anyways.
I sort of doubt I made any sense, I feel kinda funny in the head right now.
I dont care where you're from a touchy subject is a touchy subject. Just because you are over it doesn't mean everyone in this country is.
I never said that I am or am not over it...nor did I say that the rest of the country is or is not. I said eventually.
Yeah well what I'm talking about is that Survivor will never be made into a film. No matter how hard anyone tries.
I really don't wanna agree to this... but how're they gonna make the ending work?
Has anyone seen a copy of the CHOKE movie script? If so, where did you see it and where can we see it?
am so excited and looking forward to it...
btw. i'm a type of person who watches a movie first and then judges. no prejudices !
This definitely made my night!
I've quickly become a "Chuckhead," as my friends and I say.
I reallyyy can't wait for this movie or IM!
I've got a lot of faith in Sam Rockwell as a lead actor. If nothing else, seeing him on-screen in an interesting role is worth the price of admission. The guy's got more than enough talent to pull it off.
The only work the writer/director's done (in a non-acting capacity) is the screenplay for What Lies Beneath -- suspense movie with Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford, which was a pretty solid flick if I remember correctly. So yeah, I think it's got potential.
I'm just stoked to see what Rockwell does as Victor...that was a casting straight from left field...god knows I never thought of him.
I'm even more interested to see this movie now that I realized that Kelly MacDonald who plays Paige was Carla Jean Moss in No Country For Old Men. Am I the last one to put this together?
survivor will be their fight club 2.. not choke..
but i'm really looking forward to choke.. i think it has a chance of becoming an amazing film.. possibly even more so than fight club..
i whole heartedly agree
