What does your signed copy say?
Just curious as to what everyone's say's. I asked to have it say "To Jared" but he wrote "Get Well Soon!". Anyone have anything different or off the wall?
I got my copy of fight club signed for a friends birthday because although i loved IT, he clearly loved it more: it was an obsession. I told chuck that my friend John-Paul "thinks you are god". He wrote something like, "Hi John Paul, I thought the beatles were god?" He was very pleased.
I have two copies - one is not personalized and says, "Drive carefully", has his name, and a Rant Tour stamp.
The personalized copy I have says, "Too Bad Shana" (then there is a stamp with a 'RABIES' positive or negative test thing with POSITIVE circled) " - serves you right for being so popular!"
Good coffee is like drinking Rock and Roll.
Mine says Truth is -- and then the stamp for rabies, i'm positive. Serves you right for being so popular!

Brentinlouis Wrote: What was that rule about being intentionally annoying?
Mine says Lauren has tested positive for rabies, then Get Well (which he crossed out and replaced with...) Laid Soon!
On the back of my Rant right above the bar code, it has what looks like an 8. Does anyone else have this?

Got mine today too. He signs them different too, both from St. Helen's. The one with my NAME on it has a stamp that says TESTED NEGATIVE or POSITVE for rabies (he circled POSITIVE) and Don't say I never gave you anything, and then couple of pages later, signed with 2007 Rant Tour stamp, and get well soon.. The flatsigned just has the Rant Tour 2007 stamp and his signature. I found that interesting, he goes the extra mile for those that ask for names, since your more likely to keep it. I will read NEITHER and will pick up a copy at the store to read. NICE!

Mine says "Hey Tom! Rock hard, rock always." and his signature. Last year my friend got me a signed copy of Haunted for my birthday and it says "Happy Birthday Tom! Now grow up!" and his sig. He is a funny guy.
Mine says.... Sorry Luke, this book has tested... and possitive is circled... for rabies. Then he wrote, 'Dude, where has your tounge been?? Few pages later it says get well soon, then his sig
I had mine signed for my wife. It says "It's true...Stacy ___ has (rubber stamp) tested Positive for Rabies. But she's still the World's Best Kisser"
Then a few pages later, "Get well soon" and his signature.
To [my name] - thank you for saying "Hello". His name and date.
Mine says "For Rachel (Fightstar) -mylastname- who STOLE this book!" and it is stamped on every page until the book starts with "For Reference Only, DO NOT REMOVE from Library"
that's a good one - he is so cool, nobody does this for their fans - and so many different things he's said so far - man

Here are all the signed editions of rant I bought and their incriptions.
Limited Edition (mine) - "This is how church should feel!!"
Limited Edition (girlfriend's) - "May folks praise you before you ain't!!"
Regular Hardback - "Turn yourself loose at the side of the road!!"
isn't that CRAZY that what, 15 of us, post ours here and no repeats? he must have put aside a list of catch phrases from the book just for this, in addition to specific requests/comments (ie, god/beatles)

Ok, So I just flipped through the first page and noticed this:
"Bad News...Jared (Stamp) 'Has Tested Positive For Rabies'...Time to call in sick!"
Then on the title papge..."Get Well Soon!", signature, and (Stamp) "Rant Tour 2007".
Now it all makes sense! :headbang:
Mine says, "This is what church should feel like," and has the Rant Tour 2007 stamp on it.
Mine say this as well. My other two copies (yeah...I'm a greedy bastard!...but got them from St. Helen's Bookstore) say:
"Get Bit!" and "Get Sport'n, get spott'n, get _____ (I can't remember what the last one is...I'm at work right now wasting company time)...and then a smiley face at the end of both.
Sweet!
my hardback Rant says: "Eda has tested positive for rabies *insert several arrows* Thanx for Shamus!"
(Shamus is the sock monster i made for him... see photos with my review of the Pasadena signing)
my ARC says: "To Eda - Sorry About Your Heart!!" (the story to that will remain between chuck and i)
Mine says "Cody + Alicia---- Have Tested Negative and Positive [circled positive] For Rabies. Keep Swapping Spit!" Then his signature and the Rant 2007 Tour stamp. He also signed my baby's onesie and wrote "My Name is Cambria" on it... because that's her name.
-Alicia
i will let you all know on the 23rd when I see chuck in montreal. oh it can never be soon enough

my signed Fight Club says, "To Izen. I am your bitch." and it has 'prison copy' stamped on the first few pages.
My wedding dress was cutting off the circulation to my arms all night. Chuck asks me about it. Maybe someone told him, or maybe my arms were purple enough for it to be obvious.
Either way, he signed my book:
"Matt. My Blushing, Numb, Bride!"

Getting him to sign the Onesie was amazing, technically that makes your child the youngest Chuck fan ever.
Yeah, an infinity symbol. Why, I have no idea. Haven't read it yet; maybe there's something in the story.
Mine doesn't have this. Is it a hand written symbol, or something from the printer?

Look on the back of the cover above the UPC.
It's a watermark on the paper.
I have that watermark as well.
here is what mine says:

i went up to chuck with a rock roughly the size of my hand, and i asked him if he would deliver me, or make me so monstrous no one would ever want me.
so in my book, he wrote "make yourself ugly!"
he also signed the rock.
My book says...
"Sorry, David ::stamp:: has tested positive for rabies ::end stamp:: Ah hell, kiss me anyway. ::signature:: ::rant tour stamp::" That's all I got, and it's all on the title page.
I got one for my fiancee, who is a psychology major. I informed him of this in the personalization info on St. Helena's. On her title page is:
"The bad news is Kristina ::stamp:: tested postive for rabies ::end stamp::"
A few pages later, the "do you ever wish you had never been born" is circled, and that page is autographed and has the blue rant tour stamp.
I have rabies and I should get laid soon... Atleast Chuck thinks so...
:smirk:
Neither mine nor my faincees have the infinity sign. We got ours from St Helen's though.
My copy says "Yes!" in the upper left hand corner. Then it says "Jake has tested" wit a stamp with negative and positive with positive circled. "For rabies. Get" well is crossed out "laid soon!" It has a rant '07 stamp at the bottom. I was in awe when I got this thing.
I would like to point out how monstrously filled with envy I am right now...think I might have to move to America...

Holy crap that thing is hard to see. How did anyone find this without direction? However, I could just be blind.

Mine says, "This is what church should feel like," and has the Rant Tour 2007 stamp on it.
