just finished re-reading RANT. I've decided it's my favorite.

I am part of a burgeoning underground (sorta) bicycle scene in los angeles. Have been for a couple of years now.

It wasn't until I picked up RANT again that I realized that that book inspired me to ride in costume and lights. Matching whatever theme for our monthly group ride (200-500 fools on any given night). Harassed by cops, flipped off and/or cursed at by drivers...it's good fun! We ride 3-6 hours all over the city.
On Devil's Night this year I rode the double-yellow line from Vermont Ave to La Brea in full costume with my friend and over 300 other fuckers on bikes. MAN, was that fun! Traffic blocked for 2 miles Hahah!

We've got one tonight which, of course, will feature loads of santas, elves, and assorted perversions of that theme. It's kind of our version of party crashing (although our goal is to NOT crash, or be crashed).

remember "The future you have tomorrow, won't be the same as the future you had yesterday."
