I don't how many of you already know this, but Rant is allegedly the first part of a trilogy. Does anyone know if it is going to be written in the same style?
If you don't know, try this: do you think it should be written in the same style, or be normal prose, or even something different?

I enjoyed it as it was to be honest.

That said, it'd be interesting if every one was different, but i can't say i really mind.

supposedly, what this means is not that they will necessarily be related in style or storyline, but more that he is going to write a series of more science fiction-y type books

Aaah, that makes more sense i guess. Awesome news, i'm liking the new direction.

Is Snuff still for release in 2008 aye?

I would assume similar to his "trilogy" of horror novels, in that they aren't related, so not a proper trilogy, but they are of the same genre.

This is what I was really hoping for too, but, alas, it appears Rant is going to be an actual trilogy. The next book is supposed to come out after Snuff.
Now I'm just hoping that the other two are in different styles. It's a safe bet they will be because Chuck seems to like to mix it up quite often. Still though...three books on Rant? eechhh

Wow, this is the first I've heard of this. I liked Rant, quite a bit actually, but I just haven't been won over on trilogies in general; especially ones by an author I love as much as Chuck. Trilogies always seem a way to get money, nothing more. If an author really wanted to he/she could get the entire story in one book.

Rant is in it's self a trilogy.

The more I think about it, the more I am confident that the entire story is there if you look at it right.

I can see breaking it down into two parts with the hometown stuff and the city stuff, but how do you figure a third part?
