Rant script
I've already posted this under Fan Submissions and didn't realize there's a whole forum dedicated to this incredible novel.
This is a script that I'm toying with, I don't have an agent nor any credibility to have it read by the higher-ups. I figure you, the fans, deserve to read it first.
I would like constructive feedback from fans who would love nothing more than to see this novel as a film.
As of now, it's only the first two chapters. I'm working on the rest as you read this, trying to figure out all the plot points dealing with Time Travel and, to help appeal to the larger audiences, the romance between Echo and Rant .. And Echo and Chet.
Thank you, but anything regarding the story. Some things have to be changed to help translate to the screen, any complaints?

I, myself, also was trying my hand at writing a "Rant" script
I like how it's both a kinda interview/documentary with an actual movie mixed in, kinda like how "District 9" story was setup.
In my first act, I actually wanted to show Wallace Boyer going through all the airport security. In the book, he explains how if the fever detector goes off, you'll be carted away. I thought it would be cool to actually show that as he's getting ready to board his flight and all the procedures he must endure to do so. And as he's passes the fever detector and is allowed to board, you see a mother being dragged away from her husband and kids. Wallace watches along with other people as no one goes to help her. I thought it would set up the Orwellian atmosphere a bit. Like by having posters around kinda hinting at the whole you're being monitored and report your neighbor kinda atmosphere. I thought it would be cool to show this and kinda develop the world around the characters.
I really would love to work with you on this, if you're comfortable with that. It's great to see another person with the same passion to translate this to screen. I PM'ed you. Please check it out and maybe we can bounce ideas off each other.
