For those of you who have received your limited edition of rant, what do you think? I'm pretty disappointed. The slipcase has the cheapest craftmanship ever. $150 and the slipcase is folded cardboard? What the hell is that? The art looks great, but for $150 I expected a little something more than thin folded cardboard for a slipcase.

What did you expect it to be? The artwork is on the outside, no? Aren't slipcases usually made out of cardboard? Are you looking for titanium?

I guess card stock would be a more accurate description of the material. It just seems flimsy for $150. I have $20 DVD slipcases that are better.

wow, bummer - this is his FIRST signed/limited, and i ordered one, i expected more - i collect stephen king and some of his early limiteds were poorly made, they fell apart easily, and thereby the good ones are more valuable now, as far as collecting goes - when i get mine i'll post up thoughts

Me too. I was expecting a sturdier slipcase instead of a flimsy cardstock. But it's all good though. I ordered it through St. Helens Bookstore so my copy is double signed and inscribed by Chuck. Sweetness!

got my limited today, and i am equally disappointed - the slipcase isn't even really one - i mean, hey at least it will protect the book, which i thought was pretty cool, but as far as slipcases go? this is a joke - i've bought $35 limited that were better done - oh well, the book itself is very cool - i'm a little surprised, since chuck is such a great guy, and figured for his fans it would be supercool

anybody know how MANY of these limiteds were produced? 500? 1000? 5000?

oh, there is something special at the end? somebody said something about that, i can't remember what - an epilogue or something that isn't in the original? that'd make it better

well, that's not bad - i peeked at the afterword, it seems to be a chuck summation of some stories, how this came about, etc. i didn't really read much except i thought it said something about "if _______ knew i was talking about this," or something - i'll have to read it soon
