it was good....but frankly, i wish he had just written it as a regular novel. i have to disagree with some opinions saying its his best work since survivor. i understand chuck used the direct oral interview style to exercise a varying writing voice...but still i found myself wishing he had just written a standard novel and found another way of doing that. and it seemed anti-climatic to me.

having said that it was, as usual, full of great writing and whit. great one liners and insightful comments that definitely made me think and laugh and cringe.

i do have a question though: has anyone else noticed that Echo Lawrence is the only character missing from the "contributors" list at the end of the novel? what's up with that?

Actually Echo is not the only character left out, Waxman is not there either. We learn that Waxman became immortal bu going back and altering his past. If we are to assume that immortality is the reason he is left out, should we also assume the same for Echo? Or is it what he never actually gave any testimony, thus he would not be listed as a contributor.
According to cavepainter, a member of the Cult, when asked why Waxman and Echo were not listed, Chuck replied that they had gone back in time and eliminated their future presence. Many more unanswered questions under the "I'm so confused" thread in the Rant forum.

Did you read any of the other Rant threads before posting this one?

Apparently he didn't. But that;s OK. That's what we're here for, right? To answer questions so that he won't have to pour over every post looking for one. Right?

It's going to get awful messy if every single person posts a "Rant" thread of their own though.
