Qustions about limited edition

was the short story or afterword or whatever any good? I'd like to read it, but I didn't like the book enough to spend a $150 on a copy of the super smooth edition. So was it any good? Did it explain the story any better?
I kinda think of RANT as Donnie Darko with cars and incest.

Yeah, he got rabies from a giant rabbit called Frank, and the rabbit is actually his sister's boyfriend!!

I'd go more indepth to what I was thinking, but if it's true I'd rather not spoil it. Once I finish the book I'll post here if it isn't true.
Donnie Darko? Incest? I really REALLY hope I'm what I'm thinking now isn't true, or else you just gave away the ending.
