A few unanswered questions
Hello everyone, this is my first time posting. I just fininshed Rant & loved it. It all pretty much made sense to me, but there are things that I felt were unanswered, or maybe I just missed the answers.
1.) What happened to Simms after he drove of and crashed the flaming mattress car? Did he go back in time again, and, if so, why?
2.) What happend to Chet? Late in the book, we learn that he moves in with Echo & gets his old job back at the exterminator, but, at the end of the book under the contributors section, he is listed as disappeared in connection with a single-vehicle accident involving Simms. Did Chet once again travel back in time, and if so, what relation does it have to Simms disappearance?
3.) What happened to Echo? Chet moved in with her as if they were going to live together happily ever after, but he vanishes and she is not mentioned at all in the contributors section.
4.) Lastly, was there any major significance to the train accident story and it's lone survivor?

Yeah, I've looked through the past posts. I've seen some of the above addressed, but not all of it. Specifically, what happens to Chet & Simms. I didn't see that covered anywhere.
So on the book website it says that Echo is dead, eventhough this isn't acknowledged in the afterward. Can someone please explain this to me?
Why the hell is Echo dead alluva sudden? Besides, isn't this the first in a trilogy? I didn't care enough to engrave this information into the back of my scull, but isn't there more to this story??
Meh, whatever. Echo was kind of annoying, anyway...

i thought this was part of Chuck's sci-fi trilogy, though with Snuff coming next i think Rant is still a standalone story, Snuff will probably have some sci-fi twist to it, like Rant's time travel and night shift/day shift stuff.
first I've heard of Echo winding up dead too.

Snuff is not part of his Rant trilogy. He said so in an interview
Snuff - "A Gangbang With A Sci-Fi Twist"
This place will get invaded with Star Trek fans if that's the case!
I really can't see Snuff being in the least bit sci-fi tinged...
Does anyone know if by 'trilogy' he meant like he did with Horror - Lullaby, Diary, and Haunted, or if the other two books will actually come from Rant?
I have no doubt in my mind Snuff won't be part of the trilogy either way, but just wondering for when he actually does put out the books.
