Proposition For the Next Meet-Up

Im down, but not Vegas, I get into way too much trouble in that city. I just cant help myself with all the gambling, booze and women. I say SF but I'm lazy and biased. I love Portland and Seattle. Wherever, just not anywhere in the valley.

It all depends on how many people you want to go. By making the meet-up near a major airport like LAX or JFK or ATL or Vegas or Phoenix or Atlanta - whatever - you automatically drop airfares and enable more people to go. If you put it somewhere central, you enable shorter road trips to get there. If you put it on the East coast it becomes more plausible for the folks in Europe. What do you want to see as far as attendance?

I hardly think the location matters to Chuck - if he wants to go, he'll get there. But it hasto somehow be kept a secret that he's really showing up. Otherwise you get bedlam, since I've seen how big a crowd he can draw.

I had a lot of fun at the meet up in NYC, I think another dozen or two culties would have been even better, but much beyond that and I think it would be too much.

I would want to do another reading above all things. Hearing what you guys can do with all the pauses and inflections intact, sharing my own stuff, it was exhilarating on all fronts. As much as I love to booze it up, I was quite sober by the end of the night thanks to the sheer adrenaline of the experience. I was sippin' beam and wine and beer all night, but I took it slow just to prevent the possibility of dulling the experience. I drove home at 4am, a 90 minute drive in complete darkness, and was still too amped to fall asleep when I got there. Fucking awesome experience, I am so jealous of you guys going to the next meet-up.

I am fine with Boston. My first chioce would be Tokyo, seocnd would be Bangkok but you all would balk at that so Boston is fine. however, once you get me on your couch I may not leave. I want out of here bad. So there's that.

ive never been past pixburgh, so boston, new york, phillie will also work for me.

and, if anyone wants to go more towards america's heartland, my mom's got a bigass ranch in wyoming, 15 minutes from flaming gorge national park (look it up, i'm too lazy to link). so, that'd be available for next year if we want it. it's beautiful, scenic, isolated, there's horses and water and places to hike and whatnot, and we're not really really far away from civilization.
