European Meet up!
How about a European meet up?
Im from Ireland but an willing to travel to any major European city for a meet up. Im not sure how to start all this but would love to hear from anyone who is interested or if you have any suggestions.

well, franc tireur et moi are having meet-ups constantly. either in france or germany.
so maybe you guys want to come there too.
though i guess any big european could be possible, as we´re all pretty close to eachother here.

That sounds great, if we can get as many interested parties as possible to spread the word and visit this thread, in a while we can make a poll and chose a time and location.
lets see how the thread evolves them we can see if its a good idea or not

It seems backwards. How about people get to know eachother and then get the urge to meet that person you've talked to so long. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a euro meet, but a meet with people I don't know? I mean, newcomers are all welcome and all, but what am I gonna tell my parents when they ask me who I'm meeting and I say someone I don't know from the internet? My dad'd be liable to whoop my ass you know?

hey guys... great idea.... how bout a meet up in LISBON?! it's a beautiful city, not too mainstream but not as underground as eastern european capitals (hostel), it's cheaper than most euro capitals and it's the only major european city i'm gonna be in for the next few months... oh, and i might have room for about 10 people... think it out, it might just be worth it

Who has an idea for a particular city ? Berlin is an obvious possibility, both for transportation facilities and overall interest, but if you had good experiences elsewhere, go ahead.
The date is not set in stone either, so please let us know when would be the best for you, and on the contrary what period would be impossible.

I vote for Germany, I used to live in the Netherlands, in fact right on the Belgium border so im fed up of those two places, hope im not sounding selfish

hm... if it happens in Germany or a bordering country, and happens later than March of 07, i might be able to actually make it. how fucking cool would that be....!? for me, i mean.
well, we were talking more about summer, but i don´t live to far from friedberg and franc tireur comes over every now and then for a visit, so if you´re up for a tiny meet-up, we can sure organize something.
to be honest, the chances of me making it are pretty damn slim, but it all depends on what new unit i get sent to once i get back to germany. i may stay in europe or i could end up back in the states or really anywhere on the planet that the army wants to send me. i'll have to keep my eyes on the plan for the meet-up, but even scheduling a smaller meet-up in friedberg or something like that would be awesome. first i gotta get outta this damn country and back to the motherland.
