My interview was with Minuet. She's fairly new on The Cult. I did the best job that I could.
LazloIsDead: Did you want to do the interview now?
Absorbabrain: If you’re up to it, yeah.
LazloIsDead: If I'm up to it?

Absorbabrain: yea, if you have the time, i have the time

LazloIsDead: Ok, what's your name, where are you from, and how old are you?
Absorbabrain: Killian, mainly Ohio and I’m 23.
LazloIsDead: Mainly Ohio? Where else?
Absorbabrain: Mostly Northeastern Ohio, Northwestern Pennsylvania and Southern Georgia
LazloIsDead: So you move around a lot? Are you a nomad?
Absorbabrain: Don’t you mean vagabond? My mother loved Victorian Houses, every time she found a better one, we would move.
LazloIsDead: No, I meant nomad.
LazloIsDead: Anyway, describe your personality, if you would.
Absorbabrain: Curious about Life, Judgmental, Observant and Intrigued by Oddities.
LazloIsDead: Like what kind of oddities? Cats with 6 toes?
Absorbabrain: Oddities not limited to Hauntings, Death. Usually things that we cannot possibly find any concrete answers to. Outerspace. I try to connect things together with meaning, even if it is absurd. I’m a dreamer.
LazloIsDead: So what do you do for a living and what do you do with your spare time?
Absorbabrain: I work at a bank, though it is not something I am planning on as a career, I do really enjoy it and see myself doing it for quite some time as I become involved in Film Making as a hobby. That is a large hobby of mine, but I haven’t been as productive as I'd like to with it. Other things I do for fun is research, I try to pack as much useless information into me so that I might have a better imagination, we kind of lose it as we grow up.
LazloIsDead: What kind of films do you make?
Absorbabrain: What really got me started into the whole idea was watching Behind the Scenes of The Evil Dead and Army of Darkness movies. So, it originated as Horror. I also have a few Short Films and Psychological Thrillers in the works.
LazloIsDead: Now I know that you're an artist as well. You made me this rockin' sig... Would it be possible to hear more about your art and possibly get links to a picture to post with this?
Absorbabrain: I've just immersed myself in the realm of digital art, I haven’t been doing it very long at all, a month maybe. I drew a lot and painted many pictures growing up, and I had portfolios filled with pieces and completed works. I had moved a lot as a kid, somewhere along those times, I left the portfolios behind and I never found them again, I even traveled back to the house to see if the new owners had come across it, but i never did get it back. For many years I lost touch with that part of myself. I didn’t draw for quite some time. I only have two really great pieces out of maybe 5 portfolios.
LazloIsDead: could I get a link to a picture to post with this?

LazloIsDead: Before you discovered the Cult, how many of Chuck's books did you read?
Absorbabrain: The first book I read was Choke, then Invisible Monsters and Survivor.
LazloIsDead: How did you come across cp.net?
Absorbabrain: My apartment had gotten broken into and a lot of stuff had gotten stolen, including some books and some copies of Chuck's. I went to Borders to get new copies and the IM cover was different so I went online to find out where I might acquire the same one and found cp.net.
LazloIsDead: What attracted you to the forums?
Absorbabrain: I cant think of any reason. I know there is, but really I do not know. I don’t go to any other forums, this is the only one, so....Its a Black Hole. Just sucked me in. And because I cant think of any reason why I was attracted to it, I cant think of any reason to leave, either....
LazloIsDead: When did you get here?
Would you say the Cult has changed in that time period?
Absorbabrain: I signed up in October 2003, I didn’t actually start to become active in it until March 2004. From then until now, it has only changed in the aspect that it has evolved for many different types of people. There is so much to do on the Cult, it has a variety of different aspects to it, the WW, the forums, Groups. There’s a little bit of everything for a little bit of everyone.
LazloIsDead: What do you think about the new guidelines and the now extinct reputation?
Absorbabrain: The guidelines never bothered me, I think they’re effective and are needed in order to keep balance. The Reputation idea was good for a try, I definitely like the User Notes better.
LazloIsDead: How much wood could a woodchuck [img]http://www.northeasternwildlife.com/woodchuck.jpg[/img]chuck?
LazloIsDead: if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Absorbabrain: If a wood chuck could chuck wood, then a wood chuck would chuck wood. But a wood chuck can’t chuck wood, so a wood chuck wont chuck wood.

LazloIsDead: Would you say there's a difference between Minuet and Killain?
Absorbabrain: Yeah.
Absorbabrain: Minuet actually has a basis for friendship. Killian wouldn’t talk to people in real life every single day without getting sick of them at least temporarily.
LazloIsDead: What do you foresee for the future of the cult?
Absorbabrain: I hope to see it evolve more-so in the WW, I see it already being a haven for excellent writers. People's stories in the Workshop making it to the shelves.
Absorbabrain: I hope to see that happen

Now I like Laz even more. Another quality interview, and his sense of humor was great. I think the implementation of pics made it even better. And Killian came across as a really talented person with strong artistic bent. Bravo.
