not a bad interview for a first try.
Atomos Uno: hey do u wanna do one of them cult interviews?Manipulated Muse: What exactly is that?
Atomos Uno: tis where one member of the cult plays 20 questions (give or take) with another member.. and then if its cool with both people, post it its a way for the forum to get to know us all better
Manipulated Muse: I guess so, do you want to interview me?
Manipulated Muse: Are they preset questions?
Atomos Uno: ive already been interviewed so the idea'd be i interview you. but u could interview me if u were so inclined

Manipulated Muse: Ok, because if I had to do the interviewing as well (to you) it might take me a littl while to come up with the questions.
Atomos Uno: wouldnt matter. i can go first if you want
Manipulated Muse: Sure
Atomos Uno: *gets comfortable
Atomos Uno: how would u discribe your personality?
Manipulated Muse: *hold on one question. Do you post the interview word for word?
Atomos Uno: well, yeah. for the most part unless we wonder too far, or say something that might violate the forum regulations
Manipulated Muse: Oh ok
Manipulated Muse: So do you want me to describe my personality in one word or more?
Atomos Uno: in as many words as u want
Manipulated Muse: Ok, I am rather eccentric. A bit odd. I have a lot of inner-rage I guess you could say. I am very open-minded but at the same time I am very opinionated. I guess you could just say I have quirky tendencies. I dont know how else to describe it...you would just have to get to know me to decide for yourself

Manipulated Muse: My mood fluctuates. I am very sensitive to my surroundings.
Atomos Uno: ah
Atomos Uno: what brought you into the cult?
Manipulated Muse: I like to read. I am a nerd and I have nothing better to do! haha
Manipulated Muse: I dont know I was hoping to find people with similar interests to talk to.
Atomos Uno: were you before you joined? if not, are you now?
Manipulated Muse: was I what? a nerd?
Atomos Uno: oops damn..
Atomos Uno: were you a chuck fan
Manipulated Muse: Yes, before
Atomos Uno: what would you say is your favorite chuck book?
Manipulated Muse: Not sure, I havent read Stranger Than Fiction : True Stories, or Fugitives and Refugees : A Walk in Portland (which is odd seeing how I live in Salem) and untill I read them all I would rather not comment. I can say Diary so far is my least favorite though.
Atomos Uno: well, given what you have read, whats your favorite?
Manipulated Muse: Um...I dont know. Probably Choke or Fight Club...
Atomos Uno: who else (if anyone)do enjoy reading?
Manipulated Muse: To many to list...but I will name a few; Hunter S Thompson, William S. Burroughs, Kurt Vonnegut, Irvine Welsh, Anthony Burgess, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Aldous Huxley, ext.
Manipulated Muse: I am trying to read more, for a long time I couldnt finish books. I had no concentration, so I am trying to get caught back up.
Atomos Uno: yeah.. i've been there a few times myself
Manipulated Muse: I think a lot of us have, but for different reasons.
Atomos Uno: do you write?
Manipulated Muse: Yeah, when I am in the right frame of mind.
Atomos Uno: what do you write?
Manipulated Muse: I am in the process of getting my thoughts down for a book, I write short stories but not lately. Most of that goes back-seat to my poetry though.
Atomos Uno: ah.. a fellow poet
Atomos Uno: what would you say are your influences?
Manipulated Muse: To my poetry? writing? or just me in general
Atomos Uno: hmmm. generally speaking
Manipulated Muse: I really dont know, I dont hold anyone in high enough regard to be considered my "idol". An idol is someone you look up to, and if I dont personally know someone then I cant learn from them. So the people I hold in higher regard as my influences nobody would know. They are my loved ones, my friends, and those that have a light burning bright inside them that I cant help but pay attention to.
Manipulated Muse: An idol is someone you model yourself off of. I just cant do that. But I do have a lot of favorite artists, bands, and authors that make me take a second look at my own perception of things.
Atomos Uno: do any of these writers, musicians included (as poets) effect your writing?
Manipulated Muse: To a degree. But most of the time I gravitate towards artists, poets, whatever that have a similar view on things. But I think most people do that.
Atomos Uno: so what you read doesnt effect your writing then?
Manipulated Muse: Like I said only to a certain extent.
Manipulated Muse: Everyone one interprets things differently. What might mean something to me, might mean shit to the next.
Depending on our own perception and things in our environment...
Atomos Uno: *nod*
Atomos Uno: i know your relatively new.. but who of the cult do you feel you relate to?
Manipulated Muse: I dont think I can make that judgment this early on.
Atomos Uno: has anyone made your friends list or ignore list yet?
Manipulated Muse: No, and I wouldnt ignore someone unless they really got under my skin and pissed me off.
Manipulated Muse: Or harassed me.
Manipulated Muse: But even that can be fun sometimes....
Manipulated Muse: Just to see how far people will go, how much of an ass they can make of themselves.

Manipulated Muse: I am not sure. You could ask if I am an optimist or pessimist. The answer would be pessimist. Or ask anything else, I dont care. If you have something to ask, ask it. Most of the time it takes alot to offend me
Atomos Uno: my last question.. is there anything (one question) you'd ask me after this interview?
Manipulated Muse: Was it good for you? which seems so cliche, but it was the first thing that popped into my mind. Which is kinda sad. hahaaha

This interview seemed a little stilted, and could have been edited a bit, but it was nice to get to know a newer member to the Cult, interviewed by another newer member, as the other interviewees have all been longtime established members.

I'd like to know how I came off as stilted? And I thought the whole point of the interviews was to get to know everyone on the board not just the "established members".
