For anyone interested in IM Interviewing
It perplexes me that so many people don't know shit about instant messengers yet are on a message board online.
How is this possible?!
do you have to have AOL or no?
What?

Hey, give some people a break. Not all of us are technological wizzes, and Kit!'s helping break them from their ignorance. Thanks, Kit!
I meant ignorance in its true sense, as lack of knowledge, not in insulting fashion.

I'm on my parents' computer and for whatever reason they won't let me download MSN. Given that, I'm assuming they won't be too happy about me donwloading AIM onto their computer either. Also, I didn't know all the functions of MSN when I did have it, and I'm pretty sure I'm in over my head with the message board, but I'm trying it nevertheless.

well, I'm going to have to figure all this out later.
Too tired and I'm not going to be around for a while anyway(s).
-Insert sarcastic comment about my inability to figure out even most basic of computer programs-
I can't download things either - not my computer, and If I fuck it up, I'll never hear the end of it (plus I can't replace it).
well, via con dios.
What?

I know, but I grew up in a computer nerd family, so I honestly never knew that people who used the internet were that clueless about it. I'm not putting them down or anything, I'm just honestly perplexed. It's a new fascination!
Oh, and way to go Kit!

There are some things I like to be left outta the loop on.
Seriously, it's that old moral story of "if everyone jumped off the bridge, then would you?"
Plus, when I do finally catch up, it will be on my own reasons, not because everyone else has done it.

Pearls of wisdom.
Good to know that you're trying! We appreciate it. :)
Thanks. Now I just have to work on convincing my parents to let me download it temporarily or get me an internet connection in my room before this interviewing thing dies down.
.... before this interviewing thing dies down.
This should NEVER happen.

You can actually get an AIM account and use AIM Express. Go to AIM.com, register, and there should be a fairly easy-to-find link to AIM Express on the left side of the main screen of AIM.com.
This should NEVER happen.
yeah, well, my parents are fairly stubborn people.
There's a Cult Interviews spot in the profiles?

hey thats cool as heck, who woulda thunk an idea alex an owen had would be such a hit !
Sure, I'll be interviewed. Maybe later I can think of someone to interview.
I'll be interviewed by Owen Warland. I don't think I'll accept anyone else, not that I'm trying to be a dick or anything.
i'll be interviewed. i'd interview, but i don't think i'm clever enough to think of good questions. i don't really care who does the interview.
the line starts on the left.
I will also accept Lazlo, he did a pretty good job, and I think that would be pretty funny for some reason.

I don't get it. Not that I'm unwilling, but what did I do to be so special?
Me or Milroy Borden are open for interviews. Wait, I'll interview Milroy and he can interview me.

Groovy.

No offence to people, but every other one seemed more like a chat log than an interview. And I loathe chatting. Except with Random Thought, she's easy to talk to.

Everyone! I have an announcement!
Brak does not want to be interviewed!
I say that we tie her to a wooden chair in the middle of an empty room with a one-way mirror and a suspended, bare lightbulb interrorgation-style. You get the duct tape; I'll get the tape recorder!
I think you just volunteered.
im up for it, just wanted to make sure she didnt already have another interviewer lined up
no, nothing lined up, but I can't do an interview now cause I'm at the library and I'd rather do it while I'm at home. With luck, I'll be able to go on the computer later tonight.
This is the only reason I downloaded AIM. my handle is DeathToEJ. I will update my rofile now.
Sure, I'll be interviewed. Maybe later I can think of someone to interview.

So is AIM something you download onto your computer or is it one of those runs-within-the-confines-of-the-internet-explorer-window type things?
there's a download version and a javascript in explorer version
the download version is more stable though.
