Skinheads consider themselves to be a group distinct from mainstream society and they shave their heads. When I think skinhead, I think American History X. Are you a skinhead?

I've know more than my fair share of Skin Heads from S.H.A.R.P.s to racists to anarchists.

They all had very cluttered apartments.

Skinheads originated from a group of lower class factory workers that dressed upper class and rode mopeds around, mods. A few years later a bunch of them decided that they shouldnt have to pretend to be something they werent so they started wearing factory boots, jeans, braces, plain tee's and shaving their heads. They werent accepted by the mods anymore so they started hanging out with the black guys that came over from west india and started a type of music called "ska". It wasnt until several years later that the band skrewdriver lead by Ian and his groub of British Front Nazi's started singing racist skinhead songs and recruiting the most well known racist skins. To the suprise of many the major majority of skinheads are not racist at all and consider the ones that are to not be skinheads. And yes I am a skinhead. Anymore questions?

Where'd you get that information? Just wondering.

Do the skinheads that are racist have a lot of shit against the S.H.A.R.P.'s, perhaps considering THEM to be the ones unworthy of the skinhead name?

Most skinheads are extremely traditional and almost all of them would be able to tell you the history of thier culture because they are damn proud of it! I know about it from other skins. The reason they are so scary looking is because of all the shit we've ever taken its hard to just roll over and die, we fucking fight because we wont let ourselves get pushed around like that. The racist skins(RAD's or Neo-Nazi's) and non-racist skins(SHARPS or Trad Skins) are like two enemy gangs always going at it. If we see them or they see use we give them shit and they do likewise, they think that we are pussys and we think that they arent even skinheads at all. Its a visious cycle, but they get the publicity because of several reasons. 1. What would make more news a group that gives minoritys shit or a group of factory low paying job skinheads that spend most of their time working just to stay alive? and 2. Because we are working class we have no connections with the media or anything like that, we spend out time working and our free time with our fellow skins and dont really associate with corporate bigwigs so our media coverage is little to none. This is also the reason why the Neo-Nazis are more popular because they get attention for the shit they do in bad ways. I hope that answered alot of your questions, let me know if there is anything else you want to know.

there was also a lawsuit filed to stop them from using their 'name' and the 'name' was to cause the 'city' thousand dollar fines, [I]per day[/I] - should they violate the trademark lawsuit. their site was shut down, the jews took over.

What would you consider a great first date? Skinheads arent a different species... Good dates are good dates...

Skinheads stick almost exclusively to working class jobs such as factory jobs so the employers are more concerned with work productivity that dress...

I guess you could say we are violent, but aggressive is a better word for it... We have a tendancy to be extremely aggressive...

I listen to skrewdriver (*To clarify I'm not a racist I just like the music) and the vampire song is an analagy that compares the people Ian thought where attacking his country and people as vampires sucking at the lifes blood of england... Does that make sense?

Skinheads in general have an extremely strong bond, but there is alot of tension between the racist ones and the non-racist ones... The racist ones think that the non-racist skins are pussys and we think that the racist ones are not real skinheads and tainting out culture... So we fight as often as possible... And brass knucks are just fun...

The head shaving thing has two basic reasons behind it:

1. At a time when anyone in the counterculture had long hair, shaving/cropping your hair was to show that you took pride in your appearance.

2. If your head's shaved or your hair buzzed down to 1/2" or less, no one can grab your hair in a fight.

There are alot of tattoos that are skinhead marks, the two that I have is the spiderweb on the elbow (*More of an everybody tattoo now but it signifys being caught in societys web) and the crucified skinhead with working class written over it. The crucified skin tattoo is a traditional tattoo that signifys, at least to me, that we as skinheads are crucified by the media and made to look like something that we are not. There have been other meanings of it through out time just as the same with the spiderweb, some people used it as a jail tat or to signify that they killed someone... I've even heard someone say it ment spiritual growth to them... Its what it means to you personally anyways, so fuck what its "supposed" to mean...

Totally! I know alot of girls who are skinheads, we dont treat women any different... I mean unless you are personally an asshole to women then maybe so, but I'm not an ass to women and most of my friends arent either...

This couple of winners call themselves skinheads. At least one of them is a member of this message board. I won't say how I know them or what I think of them, but I would like to get reaction from others. What do you think about skinheads and drugs? And do you think it's okay to deal drugs to make money cuz you got fired? And how do you feel about drugs around kids?

The following is a transcript from a TV news report. The punctuation is all messed up, but you can figure it out.

Authorities Remove Kids from Home
Using drugs is bad enough, but the Hennepin County Attorney says a Minneapolis couple put their kids’ lives in danger by manufacturing meth. It all went down on Grand Street.

The woman's 9-year-old daughter apparently told her step-mom there were drugs in the house. When police arrived they expected to find marijuana, but ended up finding a much more dangerous situation.

“You don't want to defend yourself at all? When I have a lawyer here I will be more than willing to do that”

Carl and Stephanie Duncan are saying very little a week after their children were taken from them. Police came to their home, went inside and found drugs. According to the criminal complaint, 15 marijuana plants and chemicals to make meth.

“There was no meth involved what so ever. There was no meth? They found nothing. How do you feel they took away your children? How do you think I feel!”

The Duncans lived here with Stephanie's 9-year-old daughter and the couple’s three-month-old child. Police say the house was filthy with balled up dirty diapers where the three month old was sleeping. The marijuana plants were just two feet away from a box of toys. And those meth-making materials were in the kitchen.

“The different types of chemicals all toxic, to have them around kids, just shows disregard for their lives and safety.”

For Mattie Ravery, the thought of drugs around children is frightening. “They are sending out a bad role model for their kids.”

She lives across the street from the Duncans. Mattie has a little grandson of her own and was surprised to hear about her neighbors’ arrest. “I wouldn't want to be connected with someone like that who has that kind of looseness around their kids.”

“You are pressuring us to answer these questions.”

“I'm just wondering, the county attorney says you were endangering your children. You have a 9 month old and a three month old what do you say to that?”

“I'm not answering any more question.”

As for the Duncans, they deny having any meth making materials, but wouldn't say much else. “It's your chance to tell your side of the story.

“You just need to go please. I have enough issues without you in my face.”

This isn't the first time a child was taken from the home. The 9-year-old was removed on a previous occasion because dog feces were found all over the home. The 9-year-old daughter is with her father, and the 3-month-old is with child protective services.

Drugs and skinheads is a personal thing... Its personally up to you weather or not you want to do them, its not a "part" of the skinhead tradition... There are a group of punks and skins that call themselves strait edge (Started by the band Minor Threat), they dont drink, have sex, or do drugs... but other than that its a personal decision made by the individual...
