Where do YOU go?
I am begining research for my writing and I'm wondering what sites on the internet are most legit for information? Where do you go when YOU want the hard facts? Thanks in advance:D

I agree, it all comes down to what you are researching. Even so-called 'illegitimate' sites might yield fruit, depending on what kind of story you are looking to write...particularly with fiction.
The only suggestion I might offer is never to limit yourself to one source. In other words, look everywhere for information, not just under the front door mat.
I feel more like I do now than I did before.
Try everything. Look up whatever your topic is on barnes and noble or amazon and see related books on the topic your researching. If at all possible try to meet someone face to face or talk directly to someone who knows or has experience on what your looking for. Try wikipedia for their references are pretty good. Go to like yahoo answers and just ask a general question about the topic and you'll might find someone who knows some resources or you can always use it as a poll to get information for your work. Never doubt trying something even if it leads to nowhere it could help you look at the topic your writing about in a different way.
Thank you for your suggestions. Whenever I was in college a few years back I could go to the Universitys Website and log into a section that was full of articles written on any subject you could think of. That is what I always used as a resource for my papers. I would love to find a site like that. I dont have access to it anymore.

I want to write a book someday that has absolutely no research done for it. Just make up any outlandish thing I can think of for whatever and just sell it like I know what I'm talking about the whole time.
