THE THREE NOVELS.
while on the road promoting his latest novel "Pygmy", Chuck openly talked about his next novel. In fact, Chuck revealed that, while caring for his mother last year, he actually wrote three novels!
what are these three books going to be!...
what genre would you like chuck to make?
Are you a Sardine.
i fuck badgers, im a badger fucker.

i disagree, pygmy was a fantastic accomplishment. i'm only partially through tell all, but it looks nuts. i think the dude cant not write a novel. that is a thing in itself; and they are all different, all badass.
to answer your question, jacks..
the first of the three he wrote while caring for his ailing mother was tell all, a novel about lillian hellman. i'm reading her memoir currently and she was rather fascinating. the other two will probably release waaay later. maybe even in a posthumous future.

I often feel like I;m the only one here who doesn't hate any of his novels. I don't love them all, but I don't hate any of them. Also, I really, really, liked Pygmy. I wrote a short paper for english in broken English like that and it was so much fun and easy to do. ALso, I think broken English gives you the chance to point out blatant absurdities with blunt words rather than ease around things with connotations we do everyday. Does that make sense?
douche
SM, i on't hate any of his books either. i've read them all, and yeah, i have some not so favourites (mostly earlier stuff), but i still enjoyed reading them, and they were still better and more entertaining than a bunch of stuff i have read. i, too, loved Pygmy. i thought it was a fantastic read and accomplishment.
like kabol said, think he's worked out how to not write, yet. i'd also love to see him step back. travel. compile this fucking book on craft we heard so much about with tom and then get back into it.
i think more than anything, what he's doing is great. he's pushing himself constantly. he will never write fight club, or survivor, or invisible monsters again. that's the thing with dangerous writing, too (the style of minimalism taught by the incredible spanbauer), it asks you to push yoursellf in to uncomfortable territory, that's what's worth writing about. he's just experimenting and trying new things, not always incredibly successfully, but at least he isn't some mass-paperback dick, right?
Yea, like James Patterson or Tom Clancy or....dare I say this.....
....Stephen King
....Dean Koontz
douche
exactly. but let's nt forget Mr. Brown. Dan Brown.
gah! dont say that name!
everytime DB is mentioned GODSPEED gets delayed!

“...There are so many ways of being despicable it quite makes one's head spin. But the way to be really despicable is to be contemptuous of other people's pain. You ought to have some apprehension that the man you see before you was once even younger than you are now and arrived at his present wretchedness by imperceptible degrees.”
-James Baldwin
HAHA!
But that will get Dan Brown's name in the news and we will have to wait another 2 years on Godspeed!
Don't do it!
I have been turned off since Rant. And Snuff was utter shit. I didn't read Pygmy. I don't think I will give any of his new books any consideration until he slows down. This one a year shit just makes me think its all going to be shit.
"I'm glad I live in the GPS era. In a different century, I would've set off to visit the other side of the village and wandered off into the mountains and been eaten by a carnivorous plant. Or discovered the Americas."

but rant was damn good.. a bit like pygmy, it was a little bit of a pain to read, but well worth it.

i would like chuck to take a step back, go on vacation round the world, throw away all pens and paper, and stop writing for a year or two.
then, maybe when he'd return to writing it would be quality.
