Please help me!
So, I really messed up today. I was trying to buy my girlfriend, a huge Palahniuk fan, Choke First Edition autographed. I came across one on Ebay and everything checked out for it to be a First Edition according to the information given and it shows it's autographed.
I realize after I purchased it that it's a paperback first edition. My stupid fault I know. I then check the signature and compare it to others. This is another big uh-oh. The signature isn't consistent with others I found online.

My question is does that look like a legit autograph to you? I've never seen him not sign his full name from looking online, but there's some consistency with the handwriting. I am just looking for a little help.

You've seen Chuck autograph without writing his full name? Every autograph I saw online had his full name written out.
I'm not doubting you, I just want to be certain before I breath a sigh of relief.
I don't remember seeing him just sign with an initial, but it's not something I've paid a lot of attention to in all the autographs of his I've seen.
Plus you never know how long ago the autograph coulda been put on there. Maybe he just used an initial till like 01-02 or whatever.
The C and A's and K look spot on though, is why I say it looks good.

Yeah the sig looks dead on to the ones I have. But I've never seen him just use an initial. I would have to agree with Nate though. He might have went through a faze. Or for all we know - he had to sign 2000 of those in one sitting and that was number 1950 and he was just trying to finish them before his pizza was delivered.

Hi..just FYI..if you order your book from St. Helens Book Shop Chuck will personalize the book with a name, birthday greeting or whatever you request. I just got 2 copies of Pygmy,one for my daughter and one for myself. Included in the package were 2 bookmarks and 7 stickers. My book inscription reads "Total Best Most Lifetime of Success To Agent Toni Raye" It has underlines and different colored ink and glittery dots.And it is signed with his full name. I have 7 signed 1st editions and there are no initials. I couldn't see your signature page, so I can't comment on yours. That was a great gift though!!

Yes, it does take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months! But there is no charge for the signing...just shipping. Choke is my favorite too. I have a C.D. of Choke & Chuck reads it & then tells how he came to write it. It is so totally cool.Have a great life. Let love rule supreme!!! ______

It's right on the web site. It's pretty amazing that an author will take the time to really make it special. I think it's because he's not doing much (if any)signing on tour. Toni
