Crawford Kilian
Listened a Crawford Kilian interview on NPR while driving home from work. Apparently he's an author, he seemed well read, teaches creative writing, and did an awesome interview about writing. Just starting to research him and found this link:
I skimmed through this website (I plan to sit down and read it thoroughly later) and it has a link to the full interview.
I found Kilian knowledgeable, insightful, and entertaining and thought others might enjoy his ideas. Also, I'm wondering if anyone knows any more about him: could you point me to any blogs or websites about him? Or let me know what you think about his writing?
If this sounds like a jumbled mess--I only slept a couple hours last night because I was up with a sick 6-month-old
Thanks for the mention. Amazing numbers of people listen to NPR, including my kid brother! The previous commenter picked up my Writing Fiction blog's URL. People may also be interested in my free online course, Write a Novel: http://crofsblogs.typepad.com/novel. I'm not doing much in novels at the moment, but writing a lot for The Tyee, the online magazine here in Vancouver BC that published my Ten Novels piece.
Hope the six-month-old is feeling better. I well remember that time in my own kids' lives, long ago!
Cheers,
Crof
This is pretty surreal... I enjoyed listening to your interview and have been thinking about it since hearing it last Thursday. And I wanted to mention it here because many of the authors you mentioned are Cult member favorites. I'm shocked and humbled that you took the time to respond to my post and look forward to checking out your sites and reading your work.
And the six-month-old has spread the cold throughout the house so it's going to be fun for the next couple of days--but it does give us more time to read to the kids.
Again, thanks for the response.
Wow, that was pretty cool.

I'm having problems posting the link. Here's the url: http://crofsblogs.typepad.com/fiction/
