Thought I'd post a resource I've used a lot... I found this website, www.realpolice.net and asked a few questions for my novel and long story short, a retired detective offered to read the whole thing and gave me invaluable advice!

You have to go to "ask-a-cop", then "writer's questions" once you're on the website. Supposedly, the cops have to be verified somehow. Maybe it could answer some legit legal questions too.

Its likely more than legal questions, they probably verify your identity (or the identity of whoever you're claiming to be). You can find some really disturbing things on police forums. Not all cops are sadists, but those that are seem to have quite the representation on popo-only internet forums.

What's some of the things you have noticed about suicide attempts?
