Complex magazine's list... any thoughts?

the fact that any kind of spiderman costume is at number 1 is pretty weak, imo

There is so much wrong with this list, starting with the inclusion of Manga and ending with the fact that Batman is in the 30s and Superman is nowhere to be found. Way too many suit n' tie type costumes, and they ranked Spawn over Deadpool and inncluded three versions of Iron Man and 2 spideys.

There aren't any female characters on the list either. What's up with that? Can these dorks not see past the breasts to judge the costumes in a balanced manner?

Also, listing 'X Men' as one entry is the biggest cop outs I ever saw.

I was just about to bring that up. Historically though, mainstream superhero women have pretty crappy/sexist costumes. Catwoman is pretty decent, especially the more recent versions. Wonder Woman is a classic. Storm, She Hulk, Rogue. But then you have a lot of Supergirl type stuff and godawful Liefield styles that are just designed to make the female body look like a breast display delivery mechanism.

Well yeah, but as you say there are exceptions.
I'd say Catwoman has improved a lot, the Jim Lee version is pretty awesome. Harley Quinn is classic too. Also there are some pretty bad-ass versions of Dark Phoenix and Rogue out there.

Oh yeah, the ones I listed are ones I like. I was thinking of crappy things like the Sue Storm new look abortion:

And Spearmint Rhino Supergirl:

If your job is to run headlong into battle, and you're not invulnerable, you should have a costume that does more than hardly cover your nipples.

That's silly. The objective is obiesly to confuse them with sexiness, and then destroy them.

Haha, yeah it must be in the superhero charter somewhere that all heroines must have both an ample chest and skimpy wardrobe.

I always thought Black Bolt had a sweet get-up.
