How To Draw Boobs

in drawing class back in high school (i went to an all boys school), our teacher made several candid observations about drawing women naked, the first of which is kinda obvious:

1. men always draw breasts huge. regardless of the model.

2. men always draw breasts WAY too high, and have to erase them and draw them lower.

3. boobs are asymetrical, and almost never naturally point in the same direction. and they never point up.

we all just sat there and thought:

wait, girls will take off their clothes and let us draw them?

i used to have all kinds of naked models in high school. my favorite was this great guy we'd chat with all along, but when i ran into him with his clothes on on the street, i didn't recognize him at first. it was weird.

my high school boyfriend worked with the regular female model, which i thought was sort of funny.

once, we had this one guy with this drippy unit and a terrible rash, and he was really plump. my friend and i had to excuse ourselves to laugh in the bathroom. we pretended i was comforting her, after a crying outburst about her sick grandparent or something, but that was a lie.

There was an instance in one of my life drawing classes where instead of the usual middle aged old crone we had a pretty hot girl in her mid-to-late twenties with door knocker nipple rings. She had hairy pits, but I could look past that. After her we had an old guy whose dick was so small it didn't even hang, it just sort of stuck out at a ninety degree angle. I have life drawing every week. The guys love one of the women models, she's got brilliant breasts despite being a mother in her forties. We've just had a change of models though, a man. He competes in those 'strongest men in England' competitions. The other week I was the only person to turn up, which was a little embarassing. Drawing his penis in detail seemed too much when it was just the two of us, somehow.

I always made that area really shadowy to avoid looking directly at it.

your model being a woman is no guarantee. we had this woman who looked like a troll, and wore her coarse hair in a bun right on the top of her head, and was always doing these awful, splayed-out poses... use your imagination. or don't. but anyway, one day, i remember her saying, in her husky, cigarette-spoiled voice, "i can't sit next to the heater on account of my condition."

she never explained what exactly that condition was, but you can trust me when i say that i wasn't curious.

This reminds me of the portrait my old boyfriend painted of me from a photograph. I was clothed, it was just a portrait. But he painted my boobs way bigger than they really are, they didn't even look that big in the picture. I was kind of offended, you know, thinking "What is this, what you WISH I looked like!". But he gave it to me as a present and when one of my friends saw it she kind of lowered her voice, as if she had just heard that my kitten died, and she said "ooooohh... your boobs aren't that big." I just nodded. "Yeah. I know."

big boobs are funner to draw.

I wonder: What are the rules for girls drawing dicks? I can think of lots of times of guys drawing boobs, but maybe twice seen an artsy pencil sketch nude portrait drawn by a female featuring a schlong, never an exaggerated, cartoony drawing.

Also, dicks are usually asymmetrical and point left or right, rarely straight ahead, not sure if that's because of which way you wear it, or which hand you use. Someone should invent a penis straightener, now that product might actually have a market.

when i took my life drawing class the breasts were never big and firm or isometrical or sexy and desireable... they were usually long and sagging towards the floor nipples down all stretch-marked and sad or turning away from one another like they were trying to hide themselves inside her armpits. if any of us were to draw them any different then how they really looked we were given a severe grade drop.
"dont draw a nude person," he would tell us.
"draw only shapes."
after that, life drawing became much easier.
its drawing from porno mags that i find difficult.
