Anyone own the collected UncannyX-men DVDs?
I saw that there are these DVDs that have the entire run of the Uncanny X-men on them. It seem like a pretty good deal. I'm just a bit hesitant to pick them up, it seems weird to not have the book in your hands.
Does anyone have them?
i thought about it.. if memory serves, they print up page friendly. the point is to be able to read all of the stories you never got a chance to, or read the books and maintain your collection in protective sleeves.
i personally could NOT read it from a comp, but even if i saved money and printed every page in black and white, man it would still rock.
from basic notice, they seem to sell pretty well. a damn fine idea, i think

Don't own them, but sometimes things are available on torrent sites or p2p.
I don't like reading comics in the digital form because you have to train your eyes not to peek ahead. Usually, comics are read top to bottom, and left to right, or vice-versa for manga. When I did read comics on the computer, it sucks having to pretend that I didn't see the upcoming panel before I was supposed to. On the otherside, it did save me money and prevented me from reading series that I didn't fancy.
I got a similar thing from OiNK a while back, but it was Spider Man. I didn't like it at the time, but that was when I was strongly opposed to electronic versions of formerly printed media.
I'm warming up to the idea now. I've managed to complete one book entirely on the computer. It saves paper!
Electronic versions of books, newspapers, comic books, etc ... are never going to be quite the same as the real thing. They are eco-friendly, though!

My old roommate does. They look nice and it's convenient but yeah I was looking through them and it still didn't feel quite right. I feel the same about e-books though.
I don't want to be the one she tells her deep dark secrets to.
