This or Lullaby?
I will eventually buy both. But I can't decide which to do first. I tried asking myself which one I secretly want to read first. But half of me said Haunted, while the other half said Lullaby. They argued and it escalated into a fistfight. One pulled out a gun and shot the other in the face and killed it. I don't remember which title that side was in favor of though.
And then I flipped a coin. When it landed on my desk it just spun around like a ballarina(S fucking P?) until I slammed it with my hand. Before I could see what side was up, it vanished as soon as I moved my hand.
I know I want to get the better one first. Sooooo..... which one?!?!?!?!
eeewwww...audio book?
Audio books are fantastic... it leaves your hands free to do other things. I’m a very antsy person. most of the time when I’m reading I really want to read the book but there is always part of me thinking I could be doing something useful like knitting a sweater or something... plus they have different people reading all the different stories in haunted so it adds to the magic. I’ve read it both ways. I think audio book is better.
i'm a terrible person, in more ways than one.
I like Lullaby a lot more. Haunted is, well, I mostly read the shorts and skipped the other parts.
I'm not done with Haunted yet, like 50 more pages, but I'd say Lullaby. I loved that book.

Read Lullaby first. Read all Chuck's books in order.
Because that's the way I did it.
No one has the right to teach us stuff we don't want to learn. That's what our Bill of Constitution's all about.
I love Haunted, it's in my top three Palahniuk books. Lullaby is not one of my favorites.
So, what did he decide in the end anyway?
If I'd been around, I would have voted for Lullaby first.
Good coffee is like drinking Rock and Roll.
haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted
haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted
haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted
haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted
haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted
haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted
haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted, haunted
Well, if you all MUST know, I chose Lullaby. And I wasn't very happy. Last time I take your word on anything. Havn't read Haunted yet though.

Is that suppose to say some kind of "if the shoe fits, wear it" sort of message?
I know you're being a smartass, I just can't figure out how.:irked:
why weren't you happy? Haunted should perk you up again!
I don't know, I just didn't really like it.
Which book had you read previously?
You mean the last one I read before Lullaby? Ouch, that was so shortly long ago. Diary if my memory serves me right. Why does that matter?
I was just wondering if you had read a ridiculously great book right before that might make Lullabye seem even less than it was. But if it was Diary last, Lullabye should have seemed incredible. Theory disproven.
Well if you were asking which Palahniuk book I read before, it was Diary. If just what book in general, then it was actually Helter Skelter.
Believe it or not, I really enjoyed Diary. Lullaby was just...not for me, at all.
too much necrophilia?
maybe not enough....
No, the necrophilia was ok. It might've been all the witch stuff. Flying fairies and talking cows and shit. I was never into that.

they're both really good. get lullaby and then haunted on audio book... its better that way.
