Essay 25 Killing Time: Part One
The chuckshop is back!
I really loved reading this essay. I think for the ones who already know all the previous 24 esays, a lot sounds familiar. But the new approach from pacing the plot is really fantastic. I loved it. It creates so much more depth to the stuff chuck already taught us.
I especially liked the different textures of narrative.
I just started this thread to jumpstart the workshop. How did you all feel about the new essay?

hey, bateman..
this is looking fun, and reading the new essay certainly takes me back, a complete circular feel of nostalgia. my heartbeat sped and i zoomed over every character of the essay. i will certainly submit an assignment for the new essays and i look forward to reading the others submitted, this is sure to end as a pivotal year for many of us

i thought about that earlier. im sure it's not gone. that is too valuable. probably in need of an update, anyway.

Hey guys,
It's here: http://www.chuckpalahniuk.net/workshop/resource
And I just added it back to the dropdown of the Writer's Workshop main navigation up top.
Master's Class page is back there too.
Enjoy! And give Clayton a little time. His biggest priority right now is fixing the speed issue and rebuilding our mail server. Once that's done, he'll be diving back into the Workshops. Trust me when I say, you haven't even see half of what we have planned. But fixes first, of course.
. .
den, that rocks
as for glitches, there's a lot of off-script in the email notifications, but you probably already know about that. i just havent yet seen it mentioned so i thought id drop the word about it
thanks again

I just rejoined afer a little hiatus, and I'm excited to use the Cult as a forum for getting my writing read, and reading other folks' writing. I'm having some problems navigating the website, however. http://www.chuckpalahniuk.net/workshops/Â doesn't seem to exist. Is there a link I'm missing? Where do we read and review other people's work? And where are the archived Chuck lessons?
Sorry to be a pest, I'm just looking forward to re-joining this community, and getting an early start on my Groundhog's Day Resolution of writing at least an hour a day, no matter how busy life becomes.
Thanks!

hey, Asg !
long time no see. welcome back.
the workshop link is here:
www.chuckpalahniuk.net/workshop/home
the essays are here:
http://www.chuckpalahniuk.net/features/workshop-essay
but basically, when you get to the workshop, there are links on the left for the essays and archived Q&As
I dont know how to easily navigate through the workshop submissions, nor how to find out how many reviews and whatnot others have because everything is in the process of getting done, but im sure sooner or later the admin will get to the workshop
in the meantime, read the current essay. there is no assignment for this one and there may no longer be assignments for the essays, but we can still use what we learn and craft stories or sketches to submit each month--well, once everything is up and running properly.
soon, soon.
welcome back, homie

Cool, once I get out of this hellhole I call my cubicle, I'll check those links out. Great to be back.
