-Obama's Accomplishments in 2009

Quite an impressive list for being in office less than a year...

Obama's First Ten Months' Accomplishments

1. Offended the Queen of England

2. Bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia

3. Praised the Marxist Daniel Ortega

4. Kissed Socialist Hugo Chavez on the cheek

5. Endorsed the Socialist Evo Morales of Bolivia

6. Sided with Dictator Hugo Chavez and Communist Fidel
Castro against Honduras

7. Announced that the U.S. would meet with Iranians
with no pre-conditions.... while they're building their nuclear weapons

8. Invited Russia to tour our "secret" nuclear facilities

9. Postponed addressing our U.S. Military's request for needed troops, in a time of war

10.Insulted everyone who has ever loved a Special Olympian

11. Quadrupled our national debt while expanding bailouts

12. Announced the termination of our new missile defense system the day after North Korea launched an ICBM... a slap in the face to our allies in Europe

13. Released information on U.S. Intelligence gathering despite urgings of his own CIA director and the prior four CIA directors

14. Accepted without comment that five of his cabinet members cheated on their taxes, several other nominees withdrew after they were investigated, and other appointees resigned after
public pressure exposed their un-American leanings

15. Appointed a Homeland Security Chief who identified military veterans and abortion opponents as
"dangers to the nation"

16. Ordered that the word "terrorism" no longer be used and instead refers to such acts as "man made disasters"

17. Circled the globe to publicly apologize for America's world leadership

18. Told the Mexican president that the violence in their country was because of America

19. Politicized the census by moving it into the White House
from the Department of Commerce

20. Insulted Police Officers for doing their job of protecting citizens by insinuating that racism played a part when a white
officer arrested one of his black cronies.... but a beer corrected this mistake

21. Saluted as heroes three Navy SEALS who took down three
terrorists who threatened one American life and the next day announced members of the Bush administration may stand trial for "torturing" three 9/11 terrorists by pouring water up their noses

22. Allowed an unannounced low-altitude photo shoot of 'Air Force One' over New York City that frightened thousands of New Yorkers

23. Sent his National Defense Advisor to Europe to inform them that the US will no longer treat Israel in a special
manner and they might be on their own with the Muslims

24. Praised Jimmy Carter's trip to Gaza where he sided with terrorist Hamas against Israel

25. Nationalized General Motors and Chrysler while turning shareholder control over to the unions and freezing out retired investors who owned their bonds and committed unlimited taxpayer billions in the process

26. Passed a huge energy tax in the House that will make American industry even less competitive while costing homeowners thousands per year

27. Encouraged nationalized health care "reform" that will hurt seniors on Medicare, cut pay of physicians, increase taxes yet another $1 trillion, fine Americans for being uninsured, and put everyone on rationed care with government
bureaucrats deciding who gets care and who doesn't

28. Flew to Amsterdam on tax payer money to (unsuccessfully) influence the Olympic Committee to hold future summer games in his home town of Chicago

29. Watched the US unemployment rate rise to an all time high while hiring more liberal "czars"

30. Relocated several suspected terrorists from Guantanamo Bay Prison to the "good life" on the island of Bermuda

31. Chose a dog for his family....but not a Church

32. Took his family on several vacations, spending more than most Americans can afford in a life time

33. Was awarded the Nobel
Peace Prize for accomplishing absolutely nothing.

I meant the Kanye thing in the most non-sarcastic way possible. It was awesome.

And yeah, this list smacks of propaganda. I'm not exactly sure how him spending his own personal money to take his family on vacation is such a crime. And you know, the Peace Prize was AWARDED to him....it's not like he used bailout money to buy it for himself.

9. Postponed addressing our U.S. Military's request for needed troops, in a time of war
You KNOW this is debatable for a plethora of reasons.

Actually, its really not. It says ADDRESSING the request. Regardless of your stance on the Military and it's presence overseas, it's not an issue you ignore.

10.Insulted everyone who has ever loved a Special Olympian

http://www.bumpshack.com/.../barack-obamas-special-olympics-insult-video...

15. Appointed a Homeland Security Chief who identified military veterans and abortion opponents as
"dangers to the nation"

This is one of many articles wherein he has approved assessments calling veteran's "dangerous". I'll post more on request:
http://www.examiner.com/x-4525-Seattle-Gun-Rights-Examiner~y2009m4d15-Ho...

17. Circled the globe to publicly apologize for America's world leadership

From a political standpoint, there is quite a difference between a meek, pushover "it's not my fault, I'm so sorry to have offended you", and a "Regardless of the mistakes made in the past, I will do my best to ensure that during my presidency, I will do my uptmost to resolve the conflicts between our countries...."

21. Saluted as heroes three Navy SEALS who took down three
terrorists who threatened one American life and the next day announced members of the Bush administration may stand trial for "torturing" three 9/11 terrorists by pouring water up their noses
Prevention and protection is much different than torture post-action

Those terrorists were withholding information that couldve cost thousands of americans their lives. A little waterboarding to get that information is hardly worth prosecuting. Those three SEALS used methods that are just as frowned upon. It's a double standard.

27. Encouraged nationalized health care "reform" that will hurt seniors on Medicare, cut pay of physicians, increase taxes yet another $1 trillion, fine Americans for being uninsured, and put everyone on rationed care with government
bureaucrats deciding who gets care and who doesn't
I'm gunna hold myself back on this fucking issue here....

Don't, what's up?

28. Flew to Amsterdam on tax payer money to (unsuccessfully) influence the Olympic Committee to hold future summer games in his home town of Chicago

It is his fault. His nation is in more debt than it's ever been and he's funding personnally motivated and unnecessary trips?

31. Chose a dog for his family....but not a Church
So fucking what?!

Yeah, I don't care about that one either.

32. Took his family on several vacations, spending more than most Americans can afford in a life time
Presidential salary. Most Americans aren't the President during their lifetime.

If he was paying them out of his salary, that would be a good point. But he's not.

33. Was awarded the Nobel
Peace Prize for accomplishing absolutely nothing.

Or...you know... being elected the First Black President less than half a century after the abolition of segregation.

No offense, but that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. That means everyone who funded him, all his speech writers, and the goddamn voting public should get a Nobel Peace prize for making it happen. Oh, you're black? and president? NOBEL FUCKING PRIZE????? How bout giving him a Nobel peace prize for actually doing something worthwhile after said election?

Don't you think there's a problem with our president making nice with these people and serving them our silo locations and the like on a silver platter? I find it a bit unnerving. This is along the same vein of how Clinton sold weapons technology and military secrets to the Chinese...

So you are totally okay with a communist country that despises america and its policies having technology equal to ours. Nuclear weapons capable of breaching American territory. In the hands of the Chinese.

That started happening under Reagan, FYI.

Also, let us not forget who took more taxpayer-funded vacations than any other president in US history. Think back. Waaaaay back. All the way to the year 2000.

I never said it didn't although I'm not really old enough to remember that. The only reason I'm at all familiar with clinton is because I had to do a study on his presidency. Either way I don't agree with it. Incidently I was 14 in 2000, so I didn't much care as I didn't pay taxes...

The very fact that many of these are considered a 'bad thing' is disgusting.

1. Offended the Queen of England

From what? The gift incident? Fuck the queen of England. She's the Queen of nothing, it's time for England to finally say goodbye to an archaic figurehead anyhow.

2. Bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia

Boo-fucking-hoo. The man has a decent amount of respect for other people. Not to mention the HUGE amount of other presidents who bowed to other leaders. Like, I dunno, NIXON bowing to Hirohito. A man who actually ordered the attack on Pearl Harbor and is directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans. Perhaps he should have just walked around holding hands with him?

7. Announced that the U.S. would meet with Iranians with no pre-conditions.... while they're building their nuclear weapons

Perhaps he has enough forethought to know that we really have no place telling any other countries they can't have a nuclear program when we have a huge one. Pre-conditions hasn't worked in the past, might as well try something new.

9. Postponed addressing our U.S. Military's request for needed troops, in a time of war

Based on everything I've read Generals won't even agree with this one. He took no longer than any other president has and the deployment schedule ended up being well within the margin of normalcy.

12. Announced the termination of our new missile defense system the day after North Korea launched an ICBM... a slap in the face to our allies in Europe

The Missile defense network has been a laughing stock for years. Just like the other defense contracts he killed, like the Raptor. Shit that was sold to the American people by defense contractors, that didn't work or wasn't needed.

17. Circled the globe to publicly apologize for America's world leadership

You're using the term "leadership" really loosely here. Leaders inspire other people. The US hasn't done that since the fall of the Berlin Wall. Partially because we've been too cool to apologize for a lot of the shit we did. President Kennedy said "So let us begin anew - remembering on both sides that civility is not a sign of weakness, and sincerity is always subject to proof. Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate. "

18. Told the Mexican president that the violence in their country was because of America

Not entirely inaccurate, actually. A lot of the violence in Mexico is because of the drug-trade.

21. Saluted as heroes three Navy SEALS who took down three terrorists who threatened one American life and the next day announced members of the Bush administration may stand trial for "torturing" three 9/11 terrorists by pouring water up their noses

2 entirely different issues. Saluting troops for doing a good job is one thing. Punishing people who knowingly broke not only our own laws but the Geneva convention is another. After WWII, we put to death Japanese for water boarding American troops. Hello pot, meet kettle.

23. Sent his National Defense Advisor to Europe to inform them that the US will no longer treat Israel in a special manner and they might be on their own with the Muslims

It's about time. If they want to keep shooting rockets at each other instead of working something out, we need to stop supporting them. The IDF is arguably one of the best militarys in the world, they should be able to handle their own shit.

25. Nationalized General Motors and Chrysler while turning shareholder control over to the unions and freezing out retired investors who owned their bonds and committed unlimited taxpayer billions in the process

You know what I love about Republicans? How short-sighted they are. "OH NO THE GOV OWNS GM!!!" Should we have just let GM fail, and cease to be? Losing another American car company? Surprisingly, I'll actually agree that we should have. But consider this... If another large WW were to happen, and the American automotive industry is dead, who will manufacture things like tanks and humvees? You guys are so war hungry, you should see that you can't afford to let them fail.

27. Encouraged nationalized health care "reform" that will hurt seniors on Medicare, cut pay of physicians, increase taxes yet another $1 trillion, fine Americans for being uninsured, and put everyone on rationed care with government bureaucrats deciding who gets care and who doesn't

Almost entirely untrue. If anything I'll agree that his healthcare platform is the worst thing he did this year. But I'll say the problem is that he didn't start off with saying "We want socialized healthcare". He immediately went to the compromise. So now the compromised position has had to be compromised. Medicare won't be touched, doctors won't lose money and healthcare wont be rationed any more than it already is. You know why? Because under the current shit bill, you are required to have private healthcare. So the same people running the bullshit system now will be running it in the future.

28. Flew to Amsterdam on tax payer money to (unsuccessfully) influence the Olympic Committee to hold future summer games in his home town of Chicago

Honestly, so what? This is something a President should do. Try to bring the world to America. Of course the Right is so xenophobic that it terrifies them. Here's the kicker though. I'm from Chicago and I didn't even want the Olympics here but I recognize that he did the right thing. We don't have the infrastructure to handle it and our state is already in the financial pits. The burden of the Olympics would not have helped.

29. Watched the US unemployment rate rise to an all time high while hiring more liberal "czars"

Again with the 'czar' stuff. A position Reagan was quite fond of actually. What is a czar exactly? Oh wait, it's a shortened title so when these guys are in the news they don't have to be called the "Director of National Drug Control Policy" we can just call them the "Drug Czar". Yeah, that's terrible.

The irony is, Americans are so fucking stupid that FOX has made them think that a Czar is some sort of commie thing. The communists overthrew the fucking Czars in Russia. Soviet Communists didn't have Czars. But it sounds scary, so good job keeping that up.

31. Chose a dog for his family....but not a Church

Good. Frankly, I wish politicians would stop pretending to be religious.

32. Took his family on several vacations, spending more than most Americans can afford in a life time

All Presidents take vacations, big fucking deal. It's not like when you go on a vacation and leave your work behind for a week. Everywhere he goes, he works.

Most of these points were so trite you should be embarrassed to even re-post them. I for one, voted for the guy and have plenty of negative things I could say about what he has done, that are actually true and actually matter.

Plus I can't imagine willingly being in the military if you have such a problem with The Commander in Chief.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not......

you could be in the military and have a problem with the commander in chief, sure, why not? if you're a democrat solider, you were probably not pleased with Bush's decisions and whatnot regarding Iraq, hell, if you were a republican soldier, you probably weren't pleased to be going there either! but I mean, it all depends on your political affiliation and that of the current Commander in Chief.

I may be talking out of my ass or just too much in general.
I didn't mean to offend any military people. I just thought since you're associated, you weren't supposed to bad-talk the boss. And i was directly addressing Hard Candy, to begin with. Again, sorry sorry!

The thing is, I joined the military because I wanted to do my part, I needed the discipline, and it offers a lot of good opportunities. Do I like it always? No. But just because I'm in the military, doesn't mean my constitutional rights of free speech go out the window...

If ya'll like him so much, why not post some of his positive accomplishments?

Since you're part of the military, I thought you weren't allowed to say bad things about Obama?

Sometimes, I want to see you get pushed into a wall really fuckin' hard.

I was told by my friend who is in the Naval academy that if they get heard talking bad about obama, they can get in trouble. Largely, most students at the Naval Academy are predominately conservative, and would have rather had mccain, so refraining from talking bad about obama is a struggle. what you have me quoted as saying was my, let's say, over exaggeration of thought process. I'm sorry if I offended you and I am willing to accept that I was wrong. I imagine that they cadets or whatever shouldn't be talking bad about the president because they're in school, and Obama is the Commander in Chief, the head of all the military forces. So, i don't know. It made sense to me. Don't push me into a wall.

you'll do just fine in the military ritt.
go for special ops or interrogation.

Guffawr.

well, i didn't mean YOU CAN'T TALK BAD ABOUT HIM OR THEY'LL GET YOU

maybe it was just a naval academy thing from a stupid student that i heard it from. So, yeah. I don't know exactly what I'm talking about.

As Kirk said, I consider half of these to be accomplishments anyway.

-Obama's Accomplishments in 2009

Quite an impressive list for being in office less than a year...

Obama's First Ten Months' Accomplishments

2. Bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia

3. Praised the Marxist Daniel Ortega

4. Kissed Socialist Hugo Chavez on the cheek

5. Endorsed the Socialist Evo Morales of Bolivia

6. Sided with Dictator Hugo Chavez and Communist Fidel
Castro against Honduras

7. Announced that the U.S. would meet with Iranians
with no pre-conditions.... while they're building their nuclear weapons

8. Invited Russia to tour our "secret" nuclear facilities

9. Postponed addressing our U.S. Military's request for needed troops, in a time of war

12. Announced the termination of our new missile defense system

21. . . . announced members of the Bush administration may stand trial for "torturing" three 9/11 terrorists by pouring water up their noses

23. Sent his National Defense Advisor to Europe to inform them that the US will no longer treat Israel in a special
manner and they might be on their own with the Muslims

24. Praised Jimmy Carter's trip to Gaza where he sided with terrorist Hamas against Israel

25. Nationalized General Motors and Chrysler

27. Encouraged nationalized health care "reform"

28. Flew to Amsterdam on tax payer money to (unsuccessfully) influence the Olympic Committee to hold future summer games in his home town of Chicago

30. Relocated several suspected terrorists from Guantanamo Bay Prison to the "good life" on the island of Bermuda

31. Chose a dog for his family....but not a Church

32. Took his family on several vacations, spending more than most Americans can afford in a life time

33. Was awarded the Nobel
Peace Prize

I consider all of the above to be, at the very least, neutral, if not positive, actions.

Yes, because I want every single action that the president takes to be wildly either positive or negative. Heavens forbid he practice things like diplomacy towards South American nations, rather than knocking them down and installing banana-growing, virgin-raping, voodoo practicing puppet dictators.

i didn't say i thought he should be a jackass. i'm all for diplomacy, but diplomacy paired with decisive action is key.

obama got elected by trying to be all things to all people- he talks a good game, but he's a chameleon as far as i'm concerned. selling yourself as 'hope' personified and 'change' will get you elected, but it's a stupid move. nobody can actually live up to the promises he made. his public approval rating has dropped drastically- i think more people are catching on.

he's mortal, and none of us are perfect. like all of us though, he's accountable for the statements and promises he decides to make.

I just can't see any positives in what he's doing. Being bests friends with Castro isn't south american diplomacy, it's him playing switzerland so he won't look bad for not overthrowing his inarguably terrible dictatorship.

It's going to happen whether Obama wants it to or not. That's implying that he has control of the dictators placed in those countries.

It was cooler when he did it with chopsticks, even though his detractors said he was just 'showing off.'
