He allegedly played a key role in the deportation of about 300 Jews from Kosice to Kamenetz-Podolsk in Ukraine, where almost all were murdered in the summer of 1941.

In 1948, a Czechoslovakian court condemned him to death in absentia.

After the war, Mr Csatary escaped to Canada where he worked as an art dealer in Montreal and Toronto. He disappeared in 1997 after he was stripped of his Canadian citizenship.

I don't even know how to feel about this. It must be so hard for the victims that justice wasn't served back then, but is this "right"? I do feel like there should be consequences, but the man is 97 years old, they can't possibly throw him in jail?
