Message Board Murder
"We've always had a lot of arguments and disputes on this board, but nothing like this, and I really don't think anyone saw it coming," said Radley Pingay, administrator of pirate969.org, in an email response.
"Bruce was always a little hostile, but so many people are like that online, it's hard to tell what's real and what's just shenanigans." Bruce is not only the username of the suspect in the double homicide, but is also his first name.
The online argument started in a thread discussing a local band promoter. Bruce Pastuer, now wanted on two counts of homicide and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, was one of the participants in the discussion.
Apparently two other board members and Pastuer exchanged insults, at which point Pastuer drove to the home of the two victims at approximately 3:00PM, and shot them both with a borrowed 12 gauge shotgun. The police have not recovered the weapon, and the names of the two victims have not been released pending notification of their relatives.
In the course of the shooting, two neighbors came to investigate, and Pastuer reportedly fired at them as well. His location is unknown, and anyone with information is requested to contact the San Diego Police Department.

This has happened in South Korea on more than one occasion, they actually have a branch of the police that investigates these sorts of crimes-internet to real life.

i remember reading this huge indepth article in some magazine about this. fucked up, but wickedly cool nonetheless--the boy who got the other boy to kill him was obviously a very talented writer.

I think the other kid was very naive, as I recall his story was this ridiculous concotion of James Bond and CIA shit, real Bruckheimer country.
what I liked about it was it was kind of a 21st century Heavenly Creatures.

never saw heavenly creatures, and yeah, obviously the kid was naive, but still, what i read the experts who read through all the posts had no idea they were all done by one kid, and were amazed that the stories never had any plot holes.

Hmmm... I only read shorter articles. When I used the premise it changed a bit, I moved one of them to Tokyo and the one kid uses his girlfriend to pretend to be in love with the other kid and she happens to be the original model for his Dating Sim, so his life is pretty virtual to begin with.
I would have liked to read the whole "plot" he had laid out.

honestly, after i read a few of his posts i started calling bullshit.
that midget/lion thing was huge. i heard about it originally on howard stern and once or twice more before seeing it on the cult forums.
