Make it stop
There's a push now to put late-President and current Hell resident Ronald Reagan's ugly face on the $10 bill and/or on the dime, which would replace Alexander Hamilton and Franklin Roosevelt, respectively.
No, seriously. This has actually been happening slowly for some time in the diseased workings of Republican morlocks, but now that he's dead they're going to strike while even RR's opponents are willing to temporarily forget what a despicable President and human being he was out of respect for the dead.
All they need to put him on the $10 is a majority in both houses of Congress - which both have a Republican majority. For the dime they'd only need to persuade the Treasury.
They already named the airport in Washington D.C. after him which ensures that if I ever want to travel there I will have to do so by car; I don't much fancy having to somehow make purchases and take change without using dimes and tens.
This is absolute fucking madness. I don't care if you liked him, he was a BAD FUCKING PRESIDENT and all the somber eulogies and revisionist history in the world aren't going to change that.
Anyone in Europe got a spare bedroom?
It's not easy having a good time.
Even smiling makes my face ache.
What about Rushmore? They wanna put his head their too.
At least it would give a a big fucking target for my assault weapon.
That scumbag Ed Meese is on TV right now. When a horrible president dies all his horrible cohorts come out like the dead zombies they are.
Can't wait till G W Bush dies in 20-30-40 years and they wheel Ari, Rummy, Cheney's Lesbian daughter (Cheney will be dead in 6 years), That Douchebag Scott Mc Cleelan, JA and the Wolf.
Does anybody need a name for a band cause I think 'JA and the Wolf' would be kick ass?

'sonly money.
what the fuck do i care?

I'd feel dirty with his face in my pocket.
so for a little fair and balanced reporting, to counter all the posthumus praise can ya name like the top five or ten or so things he did that pissed you all off ?

spend 'im then, treat him like the $10 (or$0.10) whore you think he is.

First thing that comes to mind was the emptying of the assylums.

Dealing with terrorists, running huge debts, lowering the corporate tax rate from 70% to 28%. That last one is the reason why conservatives (rich son of a bitches) love him. Because conservatives have played the religous card like they actually care about it but the money card trumps everything. They worship money and have duped the rest of you (actual conservatives with conviction in your values) into voting for them so they can stay super rich.
Spending billions on SDI program while cutting social programs, the war on drugs, the list could go on but my brain hurts and it's kinda late and I'm tired. 56 hour weeks are killing me.

It must have something to do with the fact that the republicans want to find a republican alternative to JFK in terms of popularity.

I'm hating the recurring theme on how he doted on Nancy and they had this wonderful marriage and he was such a Symbol of Values guy. The man _was_ married to someone else when he and the Nance got together (she may have been as well). Nancy _was_ three months pregnant when they married. They both completely cut themselves off from contact with their children for years when they disagreed with them politically or socially. They had _zero_ interest in or contact with their grandchildren... The list goes on.
Whether you agreed with the man's politics or not, he was not the upstanding bastion of morality that the revisionist right pretends he was, but an SOB and a hypocrite.
I really dont know much about the history (or much of the present) of US politics.. but I've never heard anything good about reagan
I give you all a century, just a century. Things are gonna get rough..
Well, he bankrupted the Soviet Union (I'll give him credit for that) through constant escalation of the arms race*. That's not US Politics, but World History.
* I'll leave it to you to decide if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

because I believe it's spelled Morloch. Otherwise, you are exactly right.
Put an image of Shemp of the Three Stooges on a dime or ten dollar bill. No one ever gives credit to Shemp, one of the more better replacements for Curly.

the post office will be closed this Friday in remebrance of him.
now THAT pisses me off!
Yeah, they had a moment of silence for him at my goddamn graduation. And I had to stand up for a long time. I didn't go to school while he was president. WHy should I have to suffer?
My entire school closes down on Friday in remembrance, and I heard that June 11th is now going to be an official California state holiday, or was that Federal holiday? my boss was a bit confused when he told me the news, and very happy to get an extra paid day off.

Would you really want to live in a country that rewards someone for being better than Joe Besser or Curly Joe DeRita?
It's not easy having a good time.

You know who I'd assassinate if I had the opportunity? Cal Thomas (i believe thats his name), from Fox News. I've no particular reason for saying this, except that now seemed like a good time to express.

That makes it premeditated. Are you taking a page from the King of Hell's book?
This is a really good idea.
Someone should capitalize and make toilet paper with pictures of Ronnie on it. I bet they'd make a buttload of cash.
This is a really good idea.
Soon Arnold Schwarzenegger (sorry about spelling austrian names) will be on the 100 dollar bill. He's am austrian nazi and belong on the bill.
ronald reagan on the dime would piss me off more than on the ten. alexander hamilton was an elitist asshole of the highest order, one who expressed during the framing of the constitution that he didn't believe that the "unwashed masses" should get to vote or have any power. he actually at one time supported a king as the leader of america and co-wrote The Federalist Papers which argued for a highly powerful, highly centralized, pseudo-monarchical government. hamilton then managed to get himself killed in a duel with aaron burr. he was never President--the highest he got was secretary of the treasury.
The dime, however--belongs to FDR. FDR helped this country through the worst economic strife in its history. despite conspiracy theories about pearl harbor that have surfaced recently (not sure if i believe them or not), FDR also led the nation in the second world war. people loved him enough to elect him to three consecutive terms, making him the last president to sit for more than two terms. the dime, with its connections to the Great Depression--"Brother, can you spare a dime"--should NEVER be taken away from FDR.
So if you're going to give the Contra-hugging, Iran-arms-trading, air-traffic-controller-fucking, Berlin-wall-credit-taking, senile asshole his own money, give him the ten. Just trade one elitist scumbag for another.

Wow. This little thread got CRAZY. People telling me to abuse my girlfriend, people showing an alarming lack of respect for women as a whole, people questioning my masculinity in some kind of bizarre machoistic pissing-contest. Hell, I even got called stuffy.
He also got an aircraft carrier, which I was against. Putting him on my cash would piss me right the fuck off.
