If Bush Was Murdered...
Mods can delete or move this as you see fit, if necessary...
Despite where you live (in the US or another country), I'm wondering how would you feel, exactly, if Bush was assassinated JFK style? I mean, how would you really feel?
Would you cry, or cheer? Would you say "that sucks" and move on, or would you linger on the topic? Would you feel a wave of sadness for the loss of human life, but since you (maybe) don't like Bush anyway, deep in your mind, not your heart, you'd (maybe) be kind of happy? How would you feel?
As for me, I wouldn't exactly cheer. I wouldn't be proud or anything of the person who did it. My brain would say, I guess, it's a step in the right direction politically. The assassin would probably be jailed, tortured and executed. I wouldn't approve of the assassin's actions or anything, I don't pray Bush drops dead every night... but I would hope that the US would get a better, more efficient president that would be instated and fix this fuckin' mess.
Anyway... how would you guys feel if he was actually murdered?
"...there wouldn't be any loss of innocent life."
I don't even know how you'd get Bush into an open-topped limousine, let alone resurrect the body of Lee Harvey Oswald.
Fact: when they dug up Lee Harvey Oswald in 1981, they found a leaky casket filled with stagnant groundwater. Through some science stuff I don't understand, Oswald had undergone saponification and turned into a soap-mummy.
Also, Oswald's jaw was wired shut, which was standard procedure for funeral homes in the 60s. I guess this was so the jaw wouldn't gape open during the funeral. Either that or it was some kind of anti-vampire measure.

There's pictures floating around the interweb, somewhere.

touche!!!
I really, honestly, wouldn't care any more or less than I do now. That probably makes me a bad person.
My main concern would be that Cheney now had unfettered power. Bush is bad, but at least he's stupid. Cheney, on the other hand, is relatively astute (for a Republican, at least) and evil to the marrow of his brittle bones.
Get on over to my website, young'un! www.subvertfromwithinrecords.blogspot.com

What if Cheney was killed too? What if they blew up everyone on the cabinet!? Chaos!
I wanna bang the "Crush on Obama" chick until her bush is dead. This is applicable, no?
... looking accross the ocean at Bush, I would kind of miss the guy but thank goodness he is not in charge of Ireland.
BTW Adding to the thread will put you on the CIA blacklist.
Hypnotized by TV
have any of you heard about the new Re-Animator movie?
House of Re-Animator

Tom Clancy, in Debt of Honor, crashes a plane into the Capitol building during a joint session of Congress and kills em all. -- probably the only thing of his that will never make it to film, coincidently enough
Also, wasn't there a movie about Bush being assassinated a while back? like a mock-umentary type thing.

Applause!!!
Ignorance is a tragedy
Of course it is. That's not the point though.
Those who are ignorant, or practicing self-deceit, feel better. They're happy wallowing in their own ignorance. That's where the cliche came from - ignorance is bliss. When the world is going to shit outside, don't look out the window and you'll be happy. Pass the crumpets. That sort of thing.
People ignore that which depresses them so they can get through their day to day lives. To say that ignorance, or self deception, does not give them comfort in any way would be a lie.
Cheney's never been elected to public office nor does he want to be, so he doesn't have to care about public opinion. That's why he can do whatever he wants.

Agreed. So, maybe if both Bush and Cheney were gone...we'd have a women president! Shoot 'em both :spank:
I'd rather have people talk about how much they hate him while he's alive, than to lie and say they thought he was a great president just because he's dead now. People seem to think death makes people greater than they were.

That would be the exact problem. Cheney was chosen because he makes a strong Vice Pres and because he does not care to be in the lime light he can do whatever he wants to his reputation. I mean we are talking about a man who shot someone in the face while 'hunting' and he still retains his 'leadership' position. Any respectible politican would have stepped down because he would know his days of going to dinner parties and schmoosing with the old $$$ are over. Not Cheney though, he could care less and that is why he is scary. A man with nothing to lose is more willing to gamble with our lives.
Though in the end the real problem is us (Americans) because we are to apathetic to stop people like Bush and Cheney.
If Bush died or was assassinated I guess I would be sad on some level. The loss of human life is not something to celebrate.

That's also my opinion basically. I'd also be shocked.
Bumblebees and racehorses.
Also: Bush cannot be murdered, as he is actually a robot.
i'd shrug and say 'who didn't see that coming?'

every year, the nations going to hell in a hand basket. ive been hearing it from family since i hatched. this mess, that mess, the mess tomorrow. we go through changes with each and every president. clinton was close to impeachment--starr was jocking him some slick willy--but he was probably our most astute president intellectually. people are always gonna fight the head, go against the grain. we're suppose to voice our opinions when we need to.
as for how id feel, fucking sad. it's a sad, sad day that any country loses a president to assassination. if our leader, the most protected person in the world, isnt safe from attempts on his/her life, then what chance do we have of protecting our own families. not to say im a fan or that i agree with everything the man seems to have done, but if he was murdered, that would be difficult news to take in..
