Iraq's Governing Council (IGC) has adopted a new national flag to replace the one flown by Saddam Hussein, with emblems to represent peace, Islam and Iraq's Kurdish population.

We actually had that here in California to try to decide the symbol on the back of 'our' quarter. People sent in their renditions of what they thought the coin should look like, and people voted on it. I know it's going to turn out retarted.
I think that this whole "We know better than you" attitude America has towards everything non-amrican needs to quit. We should still think it, because it's true, I'm just thinking we need to stop saying it. I'm really sick of everyone hating me just because I'm better than them.

I'm not really sure, I just remember the Times and all the big papers had a contest. I saw the finalists, and all of them look pretty plain. Each one had a different thing that California can show off (e.g. Yosemite, Golden Gate, Hollywood, otters, etc). The voting could still be taking place, for all I know.
My favorite quarter is the one with the tree on it. Not sure of the state at the moment...
That's Connecticut I think.
