i hear there isnt much of an opposition over there and you've got elections next year, so who're the runners and riders and who's yer money on. and if the democrats dont get it sorted, who's gonna carry out the assassination?

The way it's looking now Howard Dean is going to win the primaries, he's not my first choice but he's up there on my list. Personally I like Dennis Kucinich , he's sooper liberal, at least for a democrat, but he could never beat Bush mainly because of that, for some reason liberal is a bad word here in the states, at least where I come from.

As I posted earlier, I was hoping the Brits would take care of Bush, but since they didn't it's up to the democratic nominees, and if they can't beat him I give us a few more months till the world explodes.

I just cant get myself to care about whos president.....its sad really but i just dont care..I might be in the minority...or the singlet here but bush makes me smile..with his stutter and his tough talkin texan walk...hes such a funny man.....interesting...but then theres Taft a really interesting cat, and FDR is my fave i dont know why i love that guy but i do...but to answer your question...i guess id really like an interesting character..so as much as i hate the man id love to see everyone make fun of him as much as they already do....AL SHARPTON that stupid fat chocolate bar...then we can impeach him for the color suits he wears that crazy banana.

i can't really answer your question either.
don't vote, don't care.
i work and i play, and if our president starts a war in some other country that makes gas prices go up then i pay more for gas and carry on with my life. this isn't to say that i don't enjoy bitching about the way the current pres, whoever he may be, is running the government, but when it comes down to it, i'm simply bitching because i have very little else to talk about sometimes.
besides that, i don't give a fuck what they teach you in elementary school.... one vote does NOT make a difference, except maybe if you're voting locally, and you live in a small town. but let's say that you live in a town of 301 people, and everybody votes, and the score is 150 - 151, every person is gonna take credit for that extra vote that killed the tie. in reality everybody would have to share the praise for that vote, but they wouldn't want to, they would all claim that it was theirs. democracy is better than communism and fascism, but that doesn't mean that i have to like it all that much.
there, koyaanis, did i fit nicely into your image of a common, angry, apathetic young american?

i vote, i just don't care about this next election. anymore i just see it as just a presidential name change, the same things will get ignored, the same things will be changed "for the better".

Nader was the best option last time and he is still the best option. The Dems have acted like they want change but they will be the first to fold when the heat gets turned up.

Where were they when NAFTA, the Patriot Act, and the Iraq resoultion were passed?

And then they have the nerve to blame Nader for Bush. Nader was participating in the democratic process. He was forced to run because Al Gore and the Dems were not dealing with the issues. Plus the two party system is lame as hell anyways. And if we had an IRV system like Australia then there would be no spoilers.

It sucks that apathy is the american way. But I have faith people will realize they're getting screwed and will awake from the coma that they have been in.

add insular and blinkered to that list and you've got it nailed. cuh!

what about that guy, general wesley clark that michael moore talks about, he seems like hes got his head screwed on the right way.

and also, but this is way off topic, what are your views on michael moore, for us brits, or well me anyway, he seems like the only voice of dissent against the current regime from inside americana.

I like Michael Moore. I remember he used to have a show on TV that used to be on late on channel 4. The one episode I watched involved him going to Wal Mart, and giving this teenager money to go in and by a gun. He came back with a shotgun. Hes really quite funny and hard hitting.
I'm gunna watch Bowling For Columbine this Saturday on Channel 4, I bet it good.

michael moore is nothing but a " look what COULD happen in the world" every one of his arguments and gripes is suggestive. being able to get a gun that quick usually never happens with exceptions. most of his stuff is acted and portrayed it never really takes place. like in bowling for columbine in the bank scene where he gets a gun he asks them to do it for a movie. that bank was pissed when they found out they were mislead.

if he waited for everything to happen before commentating on them he'd be a reactionary commentator, which would make him as boring the majority of journalists and current affairs reporters working at the moment.

so he asked them to look like a bunch of idiotic wankers for a movie and they accepted, shit i had more respect for them when i thought they were just doing their job relatively unawares.

OOPS.

I like Michael Moore. I don't care if he's fake. People worry too much.

He's making waves. That's a lot more than most people can say.

I've got photos of Michael Moore dressed as a beauty queen in our local Cherry Festival parade. He's a funny angry guy and we need more of him. As for the replace bush question. European's don't understand that it really doesn't matter who's president here; It's the citizens that are fucked up.

Look up in Google : idiot son of an asshole and click on the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button. Do the same thing for miserable failure

Are you surprised as to who comes up? Bush has done so much damage I'm surprised we have any friends left in the world. It sucks that if you speak out againist him or his $war$ you are considered a communist. I thought the point of democracy was to challenge our leaders. I guess not.

i do not remember this section of the cult...
and i kind of like wesley clark the best, but really i havent studied the differences between the forerunners to have a definitive choice (really there aren't huge differences in many areas).

We have several fine people who could replace George Bush's Son, just not enough non-morons to vote them in by a margin large enough to keep the election out of Bush's Son's scaly claws.

Get HST to rally the voters. He almost won sherriff of Aspen in 1970, and didn't get shot.
